123 i think they will put out another load type album
I just hope their new album has a little of everything, from their awesome solos from the early days to their hard fast chords from St. Anger.
123 i think they will put out another load type album
That would certainly be better than St. Anger, but I would really like for them to make something along the lines of Ride The Lightning.

Yeah i think thats what everyone wants. Even though everyone is saying they sold out, they really didnt they made the music THEY wanted to make. If they go back to the old style (which is what everyone wants them to do) than that will be selling out, because that is what everyone wants them to do, i think that everyone should stop complaining and let Metallica do what they want with the next cd.

Leper 02-22-2005 01:42 PM

I just hope they don't rush through the recording and production process.

Well that I'm afraid won't happen. I don't know if this was mentioned before, but everyone probably realized that the change in bassists has led to differences in albums. everything went down hill around ajfa, and rtl and mop were similar. maybe rob will bring an rtl/mop style of music like the band used to have. (btw, when bob rock played bass it made it a bad album)

it wasn't the bass lines that made the album bad tho. Hopefully Dimebag Darrell's death influences Metallica's new album the way Cliff's death influenced AJFA. I heard they were pretty good friends with Dimebag.

Yeah but it probably won't "influence" them.

Ya probably not :upset:

I'd hate to have it be a death be the reason to influence this album. It should be a good album anyways, but its always nice to put out an amazing album because of influences

willis2441 02-22-2005 03:00 PM

im still sticking to them puttin out another load type album

Burdcheese 02-22-2005 03:09 PM

Load sounds likely to me - though probably a little bit heavier. I think it will probably have some quite experimental elements to it as well.

a new load would be ok, better than reload and st anger. but i'd like a new rtl/mop

hows my avatar now gocaps?

MasterOfSquirells 02-22-2005 03:21 PM

Master Of Puppets solo

Just a quick question on a part of the solo.

The bit where hammet bends the strings of the board is well hard to play, is there any positions you can get these notes using artificial harmonics?

Joe 02-22-2005 03:26 PM
hows my avatar now gocaps?
good. and the load and st anger riffs are cool, just sololess

MasterOfSquirells 02-22-2005 04:05 PM

sorry, just meant to ask how he plays it live, or what frets the artificial harmonics are on!

If you have a question to ask, then don't quote an irrelevant post.

I said that earlier today. We can all dream, but I highly doubt that it is ever going to happen.

Chu 02-22-2005 04:55 PM

Meh, another St. Anger's fine in my opinion!
I'd much rather St. Anger over Load.

maxiscool 02-22-2005 05:08 PM

So is metallica working on a new album?

Sandtrap 02-22-2005 05:10 PM

i dont know if I want them to come out with a new album, last one sucked (you know what)!

JACKROXYOU 02-22-2005 05:10 PM
