because the majority of people prefer to not have to worry about rape and murder than to participate in it at the sacrifice of their own security

most can agree that rape and murder are unpleasant because of the nature of self-preservation they imagine themselves as the victim so you've got a collective self-wink and rape and murder are "wrong"

i will agree with whoever said that murder and rape bring other's happiness down and therefore is not morally correct however if morality and happiness are tied together then that would explain the corruption of human society
