Yes. Listen to Live Wire and School Days. I know its not a high point of AC/DC but there is a few songs where you can clearly hear it. Especially the ones Mark Evans played on.
|
Can anyone actually hear the bass on any of their songs?
Live Wire and Sin City are about it, they don't have a very good bassist, Mark Evans was a lot better then Cliff Wiliams. On '74 Jailbreak it's obvious he is. |
All there stuff sounds the same. Angus Young is why too over rated. It's really sad how a band could acheive such popularity with songs that sound all the same and are as easy as sin. :upset: And I guess i don't like the whole "Gutiar dominates the rest of the band thing" either
|
I haven't heard anything by Dave Evans. The reason I ask is because when I was looking for a bass, I was thinking about getting his, not really because I'm a Cliff fan, more because I'm an AC/DC fan. But I already got my bass, lucky I picked the one I did too, it's a standard Fender bass =P
AC/DC sound good.
That's all that matters in music.
I agree. |
i agree
i really like AC/DC although some songs do sound the same...but when a band puts out 17 CD's its bound to get repetitive, i dont blame them.
yea i would have to agree with u on that one. its hard not to get too repetitive w/ 17 cd's. |
Yea, some of their songs are repetitve, but hey, :"if it ain't broken don't fix it", theyu repeat it because they know its good, the were so succesful for a reason.

Well, it said it was a demo so it was proably from when they were first trying to get signed, before '74 Jailbreak was realeased. |
'74 Jailbreak was not there first album. In fact its an EP released in the 80's(I think) but it is not there first. There first was High Voltage (not the one with Long Way) the international one was basically a slightly altered TNT album.
|
No, High Voltage was their first in America, but Jailbreak was realeased in Australia in '75 I think. And it was realeased in America after Back In Black.
|
Jailbreak was never released in Australia until recently when the whole International catalouge was released in Australia. Yes I said that High Voltage was the first internationally but it was almost unrecognisable to the Australian version because it was just the Australian TNT with a couple of songs taken off and replaced by Little Lover and Can I Sit Next to You Girl.
|
They are a great band they sonund great, they're fun, don't take themselves too seriously, and, i don't give a **** what the hell you think but they DO have more talent than the majority of new bands.
|
When you say "i don't give a **** what the hell you think". Are you referring to the Threadstarter? because we got over that a long time ago.
|

Maybe not in Austraila, but in Europe or somewhere, I remember reading that it was realeased in some foreign county (to me at least). EDIT: I'm sorry, it was the Jailbreak single that was realeased in Australia. And I looked at the booklet inside of '74 Jailbreak and it said it was realeased in North Americain 1984. |
AC/DC rules. Angus Young is one of my all time favorite guitar players. Hey, does anyone know anything about AC/DC's reunion tour?
|
They will probably tour after they release their new cd...
hopefully it wont suck :upset: |

Reunion tour? They haven't broke up or anything, so it wouldn't be a reunion. Basically, the new album is being released, and hopefully they'll do a world tour. Brians voice might not be able to take it, but what the hey! |
