OK, the whole album is amazing :) (That is Youthanasia)
Now I own:
Peace sells... But who's buying?
So far... So good... So what!
Rust in Peace
Youthanasia
The System Has Failed

Yeah, I like them all.

I like all of those too, but I am not much on Youthanasia. For some reason, I just don't like it much. A few of the songs are good though.

Chu 03-07-2005 12:20 AM

Well, I only just got it, so it's still fresh.
But yeah, I like the whole album, so far!

mprules 03-07-2005 02:03 AM

youthanasia is awesome!

so is the system ahs failed :D

Lord Abortion 03-07-2005 03:29 AM

lucretia is cool
what an intro riff after the cackle...

not as good as the intro to tornado of souls though
which is better IYO?

wrongnote85 03-07-2005 11:42 AM

you should really pick up Killing is my business...and business is good! that album is ferocoius. you can really tell, with it being the first album and with the recent departure of mustaine from metallica, that he was really trying to out do metallica. check out rattlehead. the chirs poland solo ****ing rules. and last rites/loved to death is quite possibly the heaviest song of all time.

MAthiAS 03-07-2005 01:54 PM

Tornado of Souls > Lucretia

Off Peace Sells my favorite song is probably Wake Up Dead, its like Hangar 18 with Poland instead of Marty.

Deth 03-07-2005 03:40 PM

Tornado of Souls >>>>> Lucretia

Favorite songs off Peace Sells are Black Friday and My Last Words.

drummerman 03-07-2005 05:13 PM

My favorite song off of KIMB is Rattlehead or KIMB

MAthiAS 03-07-2005 08:34 PM

Off KIMB I really love every song. Anyone have an uncensored version of These Boots?

Freezing Moon 03-07-2005 09:36 PM
Off KIMB I really love every song. Anyone have an uncensored version of These Boots?
I do. It's a bit different, and definitly worth hearing.

I'll edit in a yousendit link in a couple of minutes when I upload it.

ThrashMaster27 03-07-2005 09:49 PM

Haha, the San Francisco bootleg from 1984 is funny when Dave announces These Boots after a rather different version of Devils Island! "This is a copy, but we don't give a ****...this is by an old Witch named Nancy Sinatra"

Dave sounds so young aswell....very weird.

MA5TERofPUPPET5 03-07-2005 10:18 PM

I'm glad metallica kicked dave outa the band. Kirk is much better than that llama-faced rodent

mprules 03-07-2005 10:45 PM

umm, no hes not, and people like you **** things up, so **** off u metallica fanboy

KILO5203 03-07-2005 10:46 PM

That was a great contribution to the thread. Now leave.

Yeah, it's 2005, not 1983.

Piss Off.

Freezing Moon 03-07-2005 10:58 PM

I reported him in the problem users thread. He's not worth paying attention to, obviously. Nobody will change his opinion.

Now download the uncensored version of These Boots!
youthanasia is awesome!

so is the system ahs failed :D
What is that album like? (the system has failed) Is it leaning more towards Criptic writings or Rust in Peace? There the only two i have. I've only just discovered them in the last couple of months. :thumb:

Also i'm glad Dave left/got kicked out of Metallica so now there are 2 awsome bands to enjoy :thumb:

i ain't taking sides, i like them both equally.

Chu 03-08-2005 03:15 AM

Any Australians know when the tickets to the concert/s in April will go on sale?
I kinda wanna get in early :D

KILO5203 03-08-2005 07:55 AM

Is Hidden Treasures worth getting? I've only heard two songs from it, angry again, and 99 ways to die, and I thought those were good, but how about the rest of the album?

ThrashMaster27 03-08-2005 07:59 AM
Is Hidden Treasures worth getting? I've only heard two songs from it, angry again, and 99 ways to die, and I thought those were good, but how about the rest of the album?
It's average. Worth getting if you're a hardcore Megadeth fan. Actually, there's not one bad song on it, but there's no really inspired songs. Angry Again is my fave off the album followed by the Paranoid cover.

KILO5203 03-08-2005 08:02 AM

I tried to download that paranoid cover but it's not working.

Josh 03-08-2005 08:54 AM

my dad banned me from downloading any music unless i pay for it, and made me delete all my downloaded music and uninstall my downloading programmes. and then i had to delete the installation files :upset:

This is what I was talking about before. Interesting download.

I look at Megadeth's newest album as a sort of medium between all of thier 80's and early 90's material and thier later material leading up to "The World Needs A Hero." Some of the songs are "mid-paced" (Die Dead Enough, Tears In A Vial) while others are very fast and easy to headbang to (Back In the Day, Kick the Chair) and still others are epic (The Scorion, Of Mice And Men) :thumb: . You should definitely buy this album without any question. Do not expect it to be like Metallica's "St. Anger" (which is always an inevitable comparison) because it is so much better. If you buy "The System Has Failed" and don't expect "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?" or "Rust in Peace" but rather a newer, fresher sound, you should be happy with your purchase. :D
I tried to download that paranoid cover but it's not working.
I've got a version of that, it's really cool.

Drone 03-08-2005 12:50 PM

Man I wish I could see Megadeth! They would never come around where I live though, this being the last tour and all.

blahsunghoon 03-08-2005 08:48 PM

are dave's vocals good live? I really like his vocals on the studio albums, but I'm not sure how he sounds live.

vashts80 03-08-2005 10:30 PM

Dave's voice is usually higher live.

Freezing Moon 03-08-2005 11:59 PM

I learned Lucretia on guitar today. Very fun song to play. I'm going to finish up Tornado of Souls tomorow I think.

:)

Arise II 03-09-2005 05:05 AM

Well, I'm not really familiar with Rush, but didn't they use to play some type of progressice rock or something? And RIP was kinda progressivev thrash, so maybe thats the association

Lord Abortion 03-09-2005 08:37 AM
Dave's voice is usually higher live.
he does rule live...

unfortunately there was a problem with his mike for blackmail the universe and set the world afire (the opening 2) so they were unintelligable

metal guitar III 03-09-2005 10:20 AM
are dave's vocals good live? I really like his vocals on the studio albums, but I'm not sure how he sounds live.
