you mean like those shirts that have snaps instead of buttons? i've never had a shirt with snaps before.
yes they are super classy. usually come on "western" style plaid shirts only place i have seen them (other than hipster stores like AE and Buckle for 50$) is Orschelen Farm & Home |
Lod I think I want to sell my electric guitars and amps and such. I don't have time to use them much or at all really. But I know if I sell them I need to sell all at once or I will end up buying more.

and the JEW BEAR is a badass |
Just had this long discussion with friend over the right for companies to search your facebook/myspace/e-mails etc. etc. before deciding if they want to hire you. Now, be it the semi-hung over state of mind or not I'm just going through and cleaning out my e-mail. Unsubscribing to all this junk mail, deleting accounts to web sites I haven't visited since I signed up and I'm never going to use.

FYI signed Steven Wilson CD's are available at newburycomics.com. The only one they got is the remastered version of Insurgentes though. |

Well I'm a huge sucker for special editions/rare vinyls/etc and that one was just too awesome to pass up, and I figure if I want I can flip it on ebay for quite a bit more than I paid eventually. I've only heard one of the remixes from that CD, are the others any good? |
Just got myself Fallout 3, installing it now.
This gonna be the best week ever. |
It's a good game.
Not spoilers. But just a couple of tips... Don't waste your points upgrading unarmed or melee. Stick with ranged weapons. Don't start with a SPECIAL ability higher than 8. You're going to get a +1 anyway from the bobblehead, plus often another +1 from other bonuses. Don't upgrade any other skill past 80. You're going to get another +10 anyway from the bobblehead, plus books, other bonuses, etc. The Here And Now perk is useless. As to is the Fast Learner perk, you can get the same effect being Well Rested. |
Fallout 3 is pretty damn awesome
AES is pretty on the money but Fast Learner can be pretty handy, it's worth getting if no other perks interest you. Also, another big tip - with your skill points, don't be general. Specialise in skills, you can't be good at them all. In other news - what's up emecks, not posted on here for a few days. Mainly because I've been watching Firefly constantly. |
When no other perks interest me, I'd go for Intense Training and upgrade a SPECIAL.
Then with a high Intelligence (so you've got plenty of skill points to use), and the Comprehension perk (so skill books are worth 2). It's very possible to get most of your skills up to 100. |

and the JEW BEAR is a badass
the bear jew, that guy was ****ing awesome. yeah, awesome movie, love it. last time in my memory that i've been to a theatre and not left somewhat disappointed. that movie was like pulp fiction in the 40's. as far as historical inaccuracies go, it wasn't that bad really, until the very end, but even then it was still too badass to even care.
Just got myself Fallout 3, installing it now. This gonna be the best week ever.
enjoy a week of awesomeness. fallout kicks ***, its like mad max the game. i basically would just run around and kick *** with an ak47 and 44 magnum. i think i did all the sidequests, wish there were more. |
Thanks a lot for the tips guys, I'll try giving it all a go. This game looks HUUGE too, when I came out of the vault and saw the landscape I just went "whooooaa....". I was wondering though, is it any use upgrading the sneak skill? Thought it would be great stealing stuff and still getting good karma out of it all. What are your thoughts about that?
|
I guess it depends on what type of player you are. Not bother with sneaking, just blaze away with the automatic weapons. Or not.
I personally use sneak heaps. Especially in confined areas like the Metro tunnels. A critical hit while you're hidden does double the damage. So if you use a weapon with a good critical chance (like the Victory Rifle, Railway Rifle, or Lincoln's Repeater) along with the Better Criticals perk, there's a good chance you can do single shot kills (or at least knockdowns) on many of the games tougher enemies. Another good thing with sneak, it's amusing reverse pickpocketing a live grenade onto someone. |

Listening to Scenes From A Memory
forgot how much I love this album |
I subscribe to Guitar world and Guitar player magazines. Guitar world is far superior and its seems like Guitar player is always a month behind. Like almost the same cover and stories that GW did the month before. Also Steve Vai is an amazing guitarist but I am getting tired of seeing him on the cover every other month.
Just an observation... That is all |
www.al an mc ken n a .com
is up and running sweet, go test it see if it loads works and looks proper, i tried it in firefox, IE6/7 and chrome... any other browsers welcome to test the compatability |
Looks fine in the browser.
Check the validation against your XHTML Strict doctype schema. The use of uppercase tags, attributes, and some unclosed tags will cause that to fail. (why don't you try out HTML5?) Separate all of your CSS out into a separate file. Use CSS to change the focus states of links. Using the a:focus and a:hover pseudo-selectors. This will avoid the need for the device dependant Javascript: 'on Mouse Over', etc. Get all the images that are purely design related into the CSS (don't use spacers). The images that are actually content related must have a useful alt attribute. Don't have an image of text. If you want to use a fancy font or some kind of animation then try sIFR. Avoid the use of deprecated tags and attributes. Like <center> or bgcolor Obfuscate your email address unless you want to get raped up the poopchute by spammers. The semantic use of heading tags will help with d0cument structure, readibility, and maybe even SOE. |
Dammit late for Fallout 3 talk. Oh well I'm going to talk about it anyway.
Most of my stats went into sneak, small guns, and lockpick, until I got power armour then it was just WHEEEE BIG GUNS. Most of my early time in F3 was spent hiding behind rocks with a hunting rifle, making headshots then fleeing like a Frenchman. I'm still ploughing my way through the 4th DLC. |
