Win A Rabbit 07-21-2005 02:09 PM

^ haha that kind of thing happened to me. my band dropped out of battle of the bands (because of our guitarist) and i guess there was a rumor that i had mono. i came to school the next day and everyone was like "oh, you're ok. did you get treated? how sick were you?" and i didn't know what was going on for almost 2 hours when someone finally told me the rumor was that i had mono.

Jezen 07-21-2005 02:13 PM

Hahahaa  good times.

Win A Rabbit 07-21-2005 02:31 PM

so anyways, im bored. so i'll tell you what i did last night. i attempted to go to bed at 12:20 (robert kennedy was boring on the daily show, i couldn't stand listening to him) so i laid in bed listening to my black maria cd (which i found after i thought i lost it 3 months ago) and realized i wasnt tired. i went to my basement and set my drums up in a different spot, so i'm not beind the rest of the band now. i'm now facing them from the side. then i re-arranged my room with my bed in the middle of the room, and an area for me to rock out while i play guitar  , much more convenient. then i watched conan and still couldnt fall asleep. then i played guitar, then i played guitar in the dark (quite tough, takes practice not to have to look at where your hands are. then i laid in bed until i fell asleep at around 4 this morning.

Now that is a musicians solo night. I used to have nights like that all the time. All the great ideas pop into your head at night for some reason.

Ethan. 07-21-2005 02:35 PM

That is cool, setting up the drums to the side facing them. That would definetly be different.

Jezen 07-21-2005 02:40 PM

More live musicians need to realise that setting up the kit on the side of the stage is alot more entertaining for the crowd.

Win A Rabbit 07-21-2005 03:24 PM

hey i dont want to start a new thread, so i'll ask in here.

is there an easy way to take the "cb drums" off of my kick reso head? im re-tuning my bass drum and i'd like an all-black reso more than a big cb logo.

Jezen 07-21-2005 03:34 PM

Grab a regular knife from your kitchen. Doesnt have to be sharp. Run the edge over the logo backwards and forwards really quickly, as if your scratching a lotto ticket.

When the logo is gone, it will feel like winning the lottery because your kit will look that much better. ;)

Win A Rabbit 07-21-2005 03:38 PM

haha thanks. i was thinking about the knife, but i didn't know how sensitive a stock cb reso head would be to a knife blade.

if it rips, you owe me for a reso head!!!

Jezen 07-21-2005 03:39 PM

lol use a butter knife then! :p
I live in Harlingen BTW.
My friend lives there too so I'm over there quite a lot.

Win A Rabbit 07-21-2005 04:15 PM

wow it's taking a long time to take that stuff off. the butter knife didnt work at all, so i used a steak knife. it wasn't going very fast, so i used a flathead screwdriver. that was the fastest one yet but its still taking a long long time. so i played drums for a while. i'll take the rest off tonight when i have nothing better to do.

Jezen 07-21-2005 04:29 PM

Mine scraped straight off. Probably because its an Ashton.

Win A Rabbit 07-21-2005 04:32 PM
