I'm playing 'Living After Midnight' tommorow in a cover band. Easy song, pretty cool.
Other than that, I'm not into these guys.
It's crazy easy and no where near one of their best songs :upset: Although, it's probably one of their more famous songs due to radio play.

I might check them out some time. What song/CD would you recommend I check out?

Apocalyptic Raids 12-02-2006 10:08 PM

Albums: Stained Class, Painkiller
Songs: Electric Eye, Painkiller, Exciter, Victim of Changes

BludgeonySteve 12-03-2006 06:03 AM

My band does a darn good Painkiller. Although that's one song that I don't really like from them. We also do a good Breaking the Law and I like that one.

i paid $50 to see Priest with Queensyrche

pate 12-03-2006 02:31 PM

I paid 75 to see Priest with Anthrax last year. :(

Brew 12-03-2006 06:37 PM

I payed around £30 to see Priest and The Scorpions last year :)

MattyBlade 12-03-2006 07:04 PM

I hope the priest are coming to Toronto again this summer, I'd love to see them.

Deth 12-03-2006 07:53 PM

They'll probably be finishing up the album.

I think I paid $40 for Priest last summer, worth every last penny.

Quiksilver26 12-03-2006 07:56 PM

They probably will... whenever the new album's done =\. This tour should be killer though:
Judas Priest are creating their first conceptual album based upon the life and predictions of Nostradamus!

This album will be theatrically staged and performed in its entirity as an epic musical by Judas Priest!
\m/

Deth 12-03-2006 07:59 PM

Sounds like they're taking the Maiden approach with the latest album.

And that's great because A Matter of Life and Death is incredible.

I hope not, A Matter of Life & Death sucked.

Deth 12-03-2006 08:18 PM

I adore it, and so does almost everyone in the Maiden thread.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-03-2006 08:21 PM

That's because the Maiden thread is full of one-eyed fanboys.

i still <3 u tho

bah, I found the new Maiden album underwhelming at best.

FatalEnergy 12-10-2006 07:43 PM

New Maiden is uber boring. Should have been much better

Deth 12-11-2006 07:49 PM

ANYWAY

I've been listening to Stained Class alot lately. Pretty frickin' sweet album. Gotta love the underwhelming guitar tone.

pate 12-11-2006 09:18 PM

Great album
Gotta love the underwhelming guitar tone.
The only reason the guitar sounds less than impressive to you is because your mind would buckle under the sensory overload from the combined awesomeness of the guitar work and Halford screaming, "Stand by for Exciter!" So your brain shuts part of it out to preserve your eardrums. This is a well-documented evolutionary response to Priest first recorded in the late 70s.

Deth 12-12-2006 04:38 PM

I think you solved the mystery!

I thank Priest for thinking of their fans wellbeing.

pate 12-12-2006 05:54 PM

Hahaha

gg

Deth 03-03-2007 12:25 PM

Two and a half months with no posts. For shame.

So there are talks about the new album being a double album, which would rule beyond belief.

pate 03-03-2007 08:14 PM

It really would, provided there isn't mass amounts of filler.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-03-2007 08:53 PM

I am quite interested in the new album. I have a feeling it's either going to rule or fail horribly, and talk of a double album only increases this.

:(

PepsiMetal 03-04-2007 12:26 PM
I hope not, A Matter of Life & Death sucked.
Yea I prefer Maiden's older albums with less acoustic intros. Seems every freaking song on AMOLAD had an acoustic intro. (The only good songs I liked were Different World, Pilgrim, and These Colours Don't Run)

I hope Priest release something like Painkiller. But yeah, since it's a double album, as you said, it will most likely suck *** like most double albums.

Deth 03-04-2007 08:27 PM

If it is a double album, I'm sure they'll go into the realm of elaborate voiceovers and needless interludes.

Still, I'm hopeful because it's JUDAS F'ING PRIEST.

Rrrrrrr 03-30-2007 01:30 AM

Not a chance, they're only human and too old. The well is dry.

CrossTheBreeze 03-30-2007 01:32 AM

painkiller is an awesome album

Grumma 03-30-2007 01:50 AM

+1.

Priest are good, there's just too many sub-par songs mixed in with all the classics
