I'm gonna bounce Neeshee. I love you Brownie.

RetiredAt21 12-22-2006 04:16 PM

I love you too, Ben! :(

deadohiosky9 12-22-2006 04:17 PM

May this be a lesson to you all: Don't question me when I talk about Infinity.

cbmartinez 12-22-2006 06:59 PM

That was incredible.

And Justin, I work at a Pharmacy.

Niiiiiiiiiice. Ever snag a Xanax or any other juicy controlled substances?

Matt? 12-22-2006 08:40 PM

infinity is gay. i dont care at all about f'ucking infinity

cbmartinez 12-22-2006 08:41 PM

Yeah, I've taken Ambien, Xanax, Codeine and stuff. No narcotics though, those are too hard to gank.

AIRIC 12-22-2006 08:47 PM

Thinking about infinity is so hard. I can't even comprehend it it makes my brain hurt.

cbmartinez 12-22-2006 08:50 PM

So I got into my first college today. :)

Anxious 12-22-2006 08:52 PM

For internet "intellectual" discussions I always have an answer but I never type it out. Its worthless in the end.

AIRIC 12-22-2006 08:53 PM

What college?

whiteminority 12-22-2006 08:53 PM

Where you going Chris?

Matt? 12-22-2006 08:56 PM

i hope infinity is one of those things that older more matured philosophers have given up on, in order to do something "prodoctive"

cbmartinez 12-22-2006 08:57 PM

Siena College. It's like a small liberal arts school in upstate New York. It was more or less my safety. Still a nice feeling though.

whiteminority 12-22-2006 08:58 PM

What college are you hoping to get into?

cbmartinez 12-22-2006 09:02 PM

American is my top choice. I wouldn't mind going to SUNY Binghamton. I also applied to Gettysburg, Washington, Loyola, and Saint Joe's.

Matt? 12-22-2006 09:05 PM

my dad went to binghamton.

AIRIC 12-22-2006 09:11 PM
Siena College. It's like a small liberal arts school in upstate New York. It was more or less my safety. Still a nice feeling though.
Siena is very close to me. Upstate NY is a great area but good luck finding music.

I'm going to a SUNY school most likely.

cbmartinez 12-22-2006 09:18 PM

Yeah, the area around Siena seemed kind of barren. You should check out SUNY Binghamton though. Their in state prices are incredible too.
my dad went to binghamton.
It's a real good school with alot of opportunity and resources.

AIRIC 12-22-2006 09:40 PM

I will most likely check it out. My dad wants to go to a bunch of schools this spring so I'll head out there. I kind of want to go to school in the city though.

deadohiosky9 12-22-2006 09:52 PM
i hope infinity is one of those things that older more matured philosophers have given up on, in order to do something "prodoctive"
There's no argument about it, it is what it is and can be understood in it's own unique way that is completely opposite of our ordinary rationale and logic.

Philosophers aren't trying to figure it out, it's figured out. End of story. And there's nothing more productive than those things, the mysteries of life > buying OOP vinyl.

Oh yeah, nice job on getting into college Chris. I hear Ash is going there too.

Matt? 12-22-2006 09:53 PM

what is the purpose of understanding infinity. because understanding it seems like it would not change my life today, tommorow, or anytime soon.

i wouldn't even call it a mystery of life, because life isn't really infinite at all in the scheme of things

deadohiosky9 12-22-2006 09:55 PM
what is the purpose of understanding infinity. because understanding it seems like it would not change my life today, tommorow, or anytime soon.
There is plenty of purpose in understanding Infinity and our relation to it or perhaps that actuality that we it, due to its all-inclusive nature.

But it's not necessarily that life-changing revelation that is important, but the principle behind finding out such things that could possibly alter the course of humanity and it's thought processes as a whole. What would happen if we stopped asking things? We would be stuck where we are and progress is important if we plan on improving our s.hithole-esque situation.

In fact, I can't think of anything more important than that.

deadohiosky9 12-22-2006 09:56 PM
i wouldn't even call it a mystery of life, because life isn't really infinite at all in the scheme of things
It isn't necessarily a mystery of life, but life itself is mysterious.

Life isn't Infinite, existence isn't infinite, but perhaps there an essence which is, that which remains untainted by Finitude.

Matt? 12-22-2006 10:04 PM

the hands on is what changes the world, we could all sit around and think up theories for the universe and everything, wasting away time for stupid bulls'hit, that may help with our understanding of life, but definitely will not help life at all in our own reality. at this point in my life, i'm not even sure what there is to understand, and if it matters whether i understand or not, or even care at all.

it seems like searching for the spiritual answers may be the way to enlightment, but that bs is so far from aligned with my reality, i don't know about yours. i have things to do, actual things!

infinity is so abstract, i can hardly see what good can come from spending time on it, rather than the here and now. there are actual things to be solved that will play a role in life itself, to as you say "improve our s'hithole-esque situation". how does knowing about infinity do any of that?

It can certainly help our ability to deal with the situation of life. Apathy isn't the solution. These are always important things to consider, it's not like its taking away from you anyways.
it seems like searching for the spiritual answers may be the way to enlightment, but that bs is so far from aligned with my reality, i don't know about yours. i have things to do, actual things!
Then do your things, but what good is doing these things if you have no understanding of what exactly is going on here? Sure, there's plenty of speculation, and plenty of rejection, but what good is just accepting things without even considering the other side or other possibilities?

I'm not saying Infinity directly does, but philosophical questioning can certainly increase our understanding and ability to see and deal with things and possibly improve our situation.

AIRIC 12-22-2006 10:42 PM

I'm really getting into La Quiete. Is Tenpeun '01 '05 an actual release?

Luxor 12-22-2006 10:45 PM

Italian for greatest hits 2001-2005 I'm guessing.

AIRIC 12-22-2006 10:47 PM

Yeah that's what it is most likely.

Luxor 12-22-2006 10:49 PM

That and La Fine has their greatest material.

Matt? 12-22-2006 10:51 PM

it's a collection of a bunch of splits and stuff they did, theres a demo at the end i think too.

there is a difference between useful philosophy and the stupid philosophy contemplated between high school stoners between bong hits. i don't see how anything is worth the time, if it doesn't improve your every day life, or even your life at all in the longterm. that infinity stuff is bulls'hit, i feel like even trying to prove it's importance in living life is just douchery in itself. also i didn't say i was apathetic to life's questions, i said i was apathetic to whether i understand life's questions or not. the best judge of reality is your own life. if i can live my life without question, then i have lived a life i understand. that is the way i feel about my own life, and i feel like the more thought spent on analyzing the meanings behind our own doings and beings, the more confusion and general discontent. why would i bother myself with a burden of further questions when i could live life day by day dealing with the basics of life stripped down to just my own self, perceptions, and emotions?

Matt? 12-22-2006 10:57 PM
That and La Fine has their greatest material.
i'm not 100% sure but i think that is all of their material, besides the two new songs on that purepainsugar 7". i personally like those two songs more than any of the others

bleep_bloop 12-23-2006 02:15 AM
Because Jeff never used microphones during live shows and rehearsals he was usally bent over behind his amp at live shows puking up blood the strain on his chords were unbelievable.

Concubine 12-23-2006 03:45 AM

I'm pretty sure he's talking about jeromes dream singer.

Btw, Joshua Fit For Battle rule

bleep_bloop 12-23-2006 03:51 AM

oh. well whoever it is they have gained my respect.

pixiesfanyo 12-23-2006 06:58 AM
oh. well whoever it is they have gained my respect.
La Quiete actually has a pretty broad catalog.

Matt? 12-23-2006 10:20 AM
La Quiete actually has a pretty broad catalog.
yes but it's just like a tonnn of splits and one full length

i'm pretty sure EVERY split is on the tenpeun

whiteminority 12-23-2006 10:22 AM

That's a good possibility actually.
