You people aren't getting the fvcking point! LAGER IS NOT A STYLE OF BEER!!! You can't go around saying, "Oh, I hate lager. It's for girls!" That makes no fvcking sense. Lager beer has been around way longer than any of us, and it wasn't invented for women! I hope the countries of Germany and the Czech Republic collectively kick you asses for thinking that way. Sure, there are some lagers that are "fizzy" and "girly" (like Budweiser, Bud Light, Mic Ultra, etc.) Those are just the tip of the iceberg for the numerous beer styles under the lager category. I hate american macro lagers, I hate Heinekin, I hate Stella, but all of those are light or pale lagers. I love bocks, doublebocks, schwartzbiers, oktoberfests, and steam beer. All of those are lagers too. Open your eyes and see that some lagers actually have flavor, a nice alcohol bite, and the thick body and low carbonation that is classically identified with ales.

shhh, only me lightyear, matt, and adam are allowed to post in here

Isn't beer is a generalisation for lager, stout and bitters?
|
I love what the Brits have done for beer. I love my Boddingtons pub ale... good stuff... and Guiness stout. Good British beer in general, actually.
Umm, Guinness is Irish. I do agree though, the Brits have some great beer. My fav brit breweries are Young's, Fuller's, and Samuel Smith. Thanks to the UK, cask conditioned ale is also making a huge wave through the US. There is no better way to have beer than poured from a cask. |
Isn't beer is a generalisation for lager, stout and bitters?
Beer is broken into two groups: ales and lagers. Ales are brewed with top fermenting yeast at higher temps (60-70 degrees F) for shorter periods of time (1-2 weeks). Lagers are brewed with bottom fermenting yeast at lower temps (35-50 degrees F) for longer periods of time (4-6 weeks). Your stouts and bitters all fall under the ale category. Here is a page that shows the two main branches (ales and lagers) and all styles contained within: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/style/ |
And therefore they are all classed as beer
|
haha but you called it bear.
I guess you meant "beer"? Anyway, I was saying lager beer as the classification of all lagers, I wasn't calling it a particular style. |
And therefore they are all classed as beer
Right! At least someone gets it. |
shhh, only me lightyear, matt, and adam are allowed to post in here

Right! At least someone gets it.
I don't think anyone ever said that this wasn't the case |
Right! At least someone gets it.

Uh oh, does somebody want attention? http://www.pentaclerecords.net/guttergurlz/gutter_gurlz_1.html
That is very disturbing. The three guys in the group all look like women. I predict their descent into the drag queen business as soon as they realize that they can't destroy MTV. I looked at their bios ( ) and three are guys, and only one is actually a girl. |
Hahaha
