Apocalyptic Raids 05-09-2006 02:51 AM

I downloaded No More Colour ages ago. I've listened to it like once :(

NP: Toxic Holocaust - Send Them To Hell

I always thought this band was pretty average, but I've really been enjoying them lately.

FatalEnergy 05-09-2006 10:03 PM

Give No More Colour another listen. You can't go wrong with it. Anyway, Toxic Holocaust has never really done anything for me, I would lose intrest in a song real quick. If I had to go with one of these new throw back styled thrash bands, I would probably go with Nocturnal.

NP: Celtic Frost - Return to the Eve

Yeah, some of them are very similar.

DimebagDarrell 05-12-2006 10:46 AM

anyone checked out the new sodom album?? it is very very good

AA-12 05-12-2006 02:56 PM

Anyone like Send More Paramedics, they are basically thrash + zombie themes and lyrics.

Bazarov 05-12-2006 02:58 PM

I can only listen to them in small doses, I can't really get into the music because of the vocals. :-/ SMP is one of the few bands that are like that for me too.

AA-12 05-12-2006 02:59 PM

Yeah, they keep that hardcore punk style of vocals, but I like them.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-12-2006 09:08 PM

Send More Paramedics are ok, but there's way better crossover around.

AA-12 05-12-2006 09:24 PM

I like them mainly for the lyrics and riffs, haha.

Bazarov 05-16-2006 11:20 PM

A dead thrash thread means a crappy MX.

DC++ is letting me down right now, I can't find anyone with Chlorine for the Gene Pool. I guess I'll just have to buy it from Unsung Heroes...

FatalEnergy 05-16-2006 11:24 PM

Personally, I'm starting to think this thread should just pass on. The regulars of this thread stopped coming. It's pretty dead now.

NP: Coroner - Why it Hurts

Bazarov 05-17-2006 12:07 AM

Has RCA finally left MX? I'm guessing yes.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-17-2006 01:44 AM

RCA just doesn't have time for the internet these days, I think.

I speak to him on Soulseek occasionally though.

Yeah, you will. I can't find it anywhere either.

Freezing Moon 05-17-2006 12:06 PM

Personally I think we should get this thread locked and start a new one with recommendations/other info in the first post.

I know a lot of people here listen to thrash, but they just shy away from this thread. If we start a new one we'll have to get out the unholy hammer of thrash and beat a bunch of new posters (poseurs) into shape but at least there would be discussion...

Opinions?

AA-12 05-17-2006 01:42 PM

As a late thrash bloomer, I would have to agree with that.

Bazarov 05-17-2006 02:58 PM

I guess I will do that.

I actually support this. It sounds good.

and then you will send it to me >_>

I wouldn't be opposed, though I don't really care either way.

Freezing Moon 05-17-2006 07:32 PM
I don't really care either way.
I don't either, I just want to get out my thrashammer of death. :D

Bazarov 05-17-2006 07:32 PM

Yeah I most certainly will. I just got to convince my father that he isn't going to get his identity stolen if he uses his credit card over the internet. :-/

I need to clear the cobwebs off mine :(

Thanks man. My dad is pretty chill with that stuff.

excellent.

Chemical Exposure ftw

Bazarov 05-17-2006 07:45 PM

Hmm maybe you should order it, then upload and give to me... eh?

NP: Festering Sore - Silent Night, Deadly Night

>_>

<_<

I deleted the songs RCA sent out in that write-up :(

Bazarov 05-17-2006 07:49 PM

He only had links to 3 of them (I think). And then that unsung heros site had a big tribute to Venom thing going on and I downloaded their cover of Don't Burn the Witch, which is awesome.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-17-2006 07:53 PM

check your myspace messages, Butcher ;)

Bazarov 05-17-2006 08:01 PM

Thanks a lot for that. I need more speed metal. Too bad I can't download that link today. But that'll be the first thing I do when I wake up tomorrow.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-17-2006 08:04 PM

Speed Metal ftw

FatalEnergy 05-17-2006 09:57 PM

Cannibal Corpse does two Possessed covers. The Exorcist with Barnes and Confessions with Corpsegrinder. The Exorcist cover is just mearly okay. The Confessons one is amazing, Corpsegrinder sounds just like Beccera

Bazarov 05-17-2006 10:05 PM

I haven't heard either.... I heard that their cover of The Exorcist lacks the intro.

FatalEnergy 05-17-2006 11:10 PM
I haven't heard either.... I heard that their cover of The Exorcist lacks the intro.
Yeah, it does and they throw in some blastbeats. Which suck. The Confessions cover is only on a tribute record. I saw it on soulseek and decided to check it out.

NP: Flotsam & Jetsam - The Master Sleeps

total blasphemy
