Still Face the Truth. Mainly cause "No More Shoes" is a ****ing great song.
|
yes
I wonder if they have the same producer/engineer on all of their albums. They sound similar. |
look me in the eye and tell me i'm saaaattttsiiiisssssifffieeedd
that's one of the least impressive songs on the album. such boring lyrics by Westerberg standards. |
"Satisfied" is an excellent song and certainly better than "Black Diamond" or "Gary's Got A Boner".
|
why no sticky?

It's pretty amazing how wrong you are. It's so simple that it's perfect--maybe the best teenage disillusionment song ever. 1 The Smiths 60 2 The Mountain Goats 32 3 Orange Juice 23 4 Beat Happening 20 5 The Softies 14 6 The Hold Steady 12 7 Galaxie 500 9 8 Voxtrot 8 9 Felt 5 10 The Jam 4 |

Yep to this. It's very Verlaine-ish. 1 Junior Boys 18 2 Camp Lo 13 2 Lou Reed & John Cale 13 4 Justin Timberlake 10 5 Curtis Mayfield 9 6 Jean-Claude Vannier 7 7 Serge Gainsbourg 5 7 International Pony 5 7 Dani Siciliano 5 7 Serge Gainsbourg & Brigitte Bardot 5 Currently listening to some soul odds and ends. Prince's 3121, Jaheim's Ghetto Classics (truly fantastic album on occasion) and some Irma Thomas thing I bought this afternoon. Soul has produced pretty much the most quality consistent musics in the history of pop musics. Best genre forever and always. |

there are so many better songs on that subject, not just from the 80s, not just from Paul Westerberg, but from THAT VERY SAME ALBUM. Sixteen Blue motherfucker |

i'm pretty sure that the friedburgers produce/engineer the albums themselves |

I'm digging a ton of different shit. The only thing I'm not digging is that this thread is no longer stuck.
|
this thread should be as sticky as jonm's pillowcase
|
his next album should be called Post Ward
|
this thread should be as sticky as jonm's pillowcase
I just said something that would definitely get me permabanned and edited it really fast.
|
South Central Cartel - N Gatz We Truss - It's so gangsta it's almost funny.

HAHAHA gatz!?!

Trust me, it was funny, and not at your expense.
|
Dinosaur Jr- You're Living All Over Me
first time listening through the whole album. it's good, obviously. |
Yellowcard - Ocean Ave
This must be guilty pleasure day |
Brian Eno & David Byrne - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts
It is um...eclectic. |
And now for a post in this thread that actually contains something that I'm digging.
I am really digging the new reissue of Black Uhuru's Black Sounds Of Freedom. They really did a great job of improving the sound, and the extra tracks and dub versions are irie. |
