Meat Puppets rule.
They fail, however, to surpass the greatness and perfection that is blah blah blah
which, in turn, will never achieve the greatness that is the great googly moogly
Meat Puppets rule.
this.

dei 01-22-2008 10:54 AM

Wrong.

AlienEater 01-22-2008 11:39 AM

no you are wrong

dei 01-22-2008 12:00 PM

No, I'm pretty sure I'm right.

poopie 01-22-2008 12:02 PM

kinda late but why would you hate on Meat Puppets? theyre good

dei 01-22-2008 12:09 PM

I don't think so.

negrodamus 01-22-2008 12:25 PM

Shut up dei.

poopie 01-22-2008 12:32 PM

Oh, Me is like my favorite song on Meat Puppets II. then Aurora Borealis. then Lake of Fire.

Anxious 01-22-2008 12:33 PM

Up on the Sun is great also.

poopie 01-22-2008 12:42 PM

maybe i should get that. i only have II. how is the sound different?

also i really like the song Backwater but i heard the album it's from isn't very good

Anxious 01-22-2008 12:44 PM

Its very different.

Its mostly fast paced, brilliant and complex instrumental psychedelia with catchy melodies.

Their albums after that pretty much suck.

poopie 01-22-2008 12:47 PM

oooooooooooo.. sounds great. i hope the production is good. it didn't really detract on II but more clear production always makes it just a bit better to me

Anxious 01-22-2008 12:50 PM

Its a lot better than on II. The bass is actually a main part of the songs on Up on the Sun and bites through everything. You could probably persuade someone whose never heard of them before that they used a drum machine because its almost metronome perfect.
Shut up dei.
Are you mozartv?

poopie 01-22-2008 01:32 PM

pulseczar 01-22-2008 01:45 PM

poopie 01-22-2008 01:48 PM

man stfu wtf

pulseczar 01-22-2008 01:50 PM

I tell it like it is

YDload 01-22-2008 01:55 PM

Lake of Fire is just a bad song no matter what. It was bad when Meat Puppets first played it and it was bad when Nirvana covered it. I think Cobain picked it because the vocals were terrible enough to begin with that his would sound just fine.

We're Here is the best song. Ever.

Dies Irae 01-22-2008 02:08 PM

I agree with your post YD.

negrodamus 01-22-2008 02:25 PM
Are you mozartv?
Bingo.

ATM 01-22-2008 05:05 PM

Too High to Die is solid.

AlienEater 01-23-2008 09:48 AM

is that the newest one?

I didn't ever listen to that. I don't know why.

no wait it isn't the newest one is it

anyway I like Lake of Fire

Anxious 01-23-2008 10:25 AM

Their newest one came out this summer and its okay. Much better than their 90's stuff though.

okay 01-23-2008 02:15 PM

the Meat Puppets are just really really over rated

YDload 01-23-2008 02:36 PM

that's Cobain's fault i didnt pay no attention to what he thought

i checked it out for myself and we just happen to have the same opinion!

Boilermaker 01-23-2008 03:18 PM

Both of those songs are good.

Lake of Fire is very different from the other songs on the album, but to me it's still a great song. I personally like the vocals on the song, and I also like Nirvana's version.

So maybe I just ****ing suck then.

Liebensaft 01-23-2008 03:42 PM
Up on the Sun is great also.
My favorite, for definitely. It's so good that listening is practically a religious experience. For me, that is.
