Bestial Devastation is way better. Antichrist is the best thing from Morbid Visions or Bestial.

Morbid Visions is kinda meh.

Bazarov 05-01-2006 02:37 PM
Jim Fergades, former Morbid Saint guitarrist, is on myspace, and obviously in our top 8. He and other former Morbid Saint members have formed a band called Hallowcore. Stay tuned for new material by our fellow metal brothers!
From the Morbid Saint myspace.... I wonder how good this new band will be.

According to Jim's myspace Hallowcore is:
Hallowcore is: Patrick Lind-Vocals Jay Visser-Guitar Jim Fergades-Guitar Randy Wall-Drums Gary Beimel-Bass

I recently got a Morbid Saint CD, and a Municipal Waste CD, and I really love them both. I didn't realize how good thrash is. I also listen to the typical bigger stuff like Slayer, Kreator, old Metallica, Megadeth, etc. Anyway, does anyone know what I should get into next?

Overkill. My personal favorites are Years Of Decay and Taking Over.

Also try out Legion Of The Damned. I really like those guys.

Okay, so I got Hypnosia's Extreme Hatred again after deleting it for some insane reason about a year ago.

I had forgotten how much this album fucking slays.

Yeah, that album has some angelslaying riffs on it.

Even the verse riffs are rediculously good.

AA-12 05-05-2006 01:54 PM

Hypnosia - Extreme Hatred is one of the best albums i've heard now. I can't wait until the whole thing finishes. Nuclear Assault is great so far too.

New Ghoul song.

As Your Casket Closes

AA-12 05-05-2006 04:40 PM

I'm liking it so far.

Mother 05-05-2006 05:08 PM

I Liked It Espically towards the end, Is there anyway to get the song without bieng online?

Apocalyptic Raids 05-05-2006 07:59 PM

I recently got Survive again after deleting it for some reason (again!). Such a classic.

AA-12 05-05-2006 08:09 PM

I've got Game Over and Handle with Care so far. Handle with Care is good, but not on par with Game Over to me.

Survive is essential. I can't decide between that and Game Over.

AA-12 05-05-2006 08:15 PM

I'll get it tonight probably. Thrash is tooooo good.

playguitar 05-05-2006 11:49 PM

Would you consider Scream Bloody Gore more thrash, or death metal?

Riva 05-05-2006 11:51 PM

Why are you so hellbent on deleting good albums, Jono?

Death Metal, but very very Thrashy.
Why are you so hellbent on deleting good albums, Jono?
I don't know :(

playguitar 05-05-2006 11:57 PM

Death rules...I just got Consuming Impulse by Pestilence too. I think I'm branching out from thrash into old school death metal a bit, oh no!

Riva 05-06-2006 12:00 AM

Not a thing wrong with that, though this may be the wrong thread to say such things in.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-06-2006 12:01 AM
I think I'm branching out from thrash into old school death metal a bit, oh no!
That's what I did, it's a natural progression.

Freezing Moon 05-06-2006 12:31 AM

Old School Death can be quite thrashy and is also quite good so nothing wrong with that at all.

Make sure to check out Autopsy. ;)

FatalEnergy 05-06-2006 12:38 AM

The first two Pestilence albums are awesome. Out of the Body is amazingly thrashy.

NP: Destruction - Reject Emotions

Apocalyptic Raids 05-06-2006 01:03 AM

Consuming Impulse is definitely in my top 5 old-school DM albums.

AA-12 05-08-2006 06:47 AM

Any Coroner fans? I just picked up Punishment for Decadence, it's great.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-08-2006 06:52 AM

Yeah, Punishment For Decadence and R.I.P. are awesome. The Death Cult demo is also fantastic. Tom G. Warrior ftw

FatalEnergy 05-08-2006 10:49 PM

No More Color is just as good as those two, and Mental Vortex definatley wasn't their best, but it wasn't bad either. Grin = Gay

Freezing Moon 05-08-2006 11:12 PM

No More Color is probably my favorite.

FatalEnergy 05-09-2006 12:34 AM

The Death Cult Demo was such a great demo. I wish they would have kept Spectators of Sin around. That song shreds like no other and Tom's vocals on it are killer.

NP: Coroner - Semtex Revolution
