hey,my name is Kurt.Im a 13 year old drummer from ab canada.Im here to say that its bullsht how drummers dont get any credit. We play one of the most, if not the most physicall instument out there. I think its because most drummers sit in the ''background'' and just tag along to the beat will theres will gutar solos and sht. This is really starting to piss me off, drummers should have respect, we deserve it! Next time your playin a show, for the sake of drumers everywhere,do something insane!play a solo then throw your sticks, or get up and kick the sht out of your kit, or even light your symbals on fire! give us respect! am i the only one that feels this way?
|
I for one, would not like to ruin any of my gear actually.
I'm too lazy to say anymore.. |
ya thats the bad part.
do many people actually come here ever? or is it only a few |
ya thats the bad part.
do many people actually come here ever? or is it only a few
Here as in this forum? Yes, there are many members on this forum who post regularly, and many of them are very helpful and can answer any questions you may have. Welcome to the forums btw :) |
So to prove we're not stupid, tactless idiots, we should kick out kits and set out cymbals on fire?
PARTY ON! |
hey i have a dutch friend! he came from amsterdamn, hes a pretty cool guy...
ya i guess it depends on who your playin for lol.some people love that stuff how old are most of the people here? |

Pretty hard to catch his name without seeing his age. |

Welcome to the boards. Get your band to let you do some drum solos in between songs. Then maybe you will feel more like a member than like a drum machine. :thumb: I wouldn't even think about lighting cymbals on fire though or beating up my kit. RESPECT YOUR GEAR!! |

Oh haha I see. I can't read. |

RESPECT YOUR GEAR!!
a already have lots of solos but its drummers that you see preforming at bars and stuff, dont get me wrong, most are good drummers, but theyre way to quiet.......... lol i respect my gear...im talking about famous/rich guys with some $$$ |

lol i respect my gear...im talking about famous/rich guys with some $$$
They should respect their gear too. Just cause you make tons of money from playing drums doesn't mean you should bust kits. That is just stupid. See, instead of using the money to buy kits over and over, you could just have like 5 kits. Now that would be cool. :chug: |
How's 18 treating you? Any updates on the baby situation?
I out shot my dad with vodka. Its not good, she's leaving uni and going home. This effectively ends my involvement. Please learn to spell cymbals. |
Oh yeah. I wouldnt dare beat or light my cymbals. Especially seeing as i payed out for most of my own cymbals and dont have a lot of cash. Plus some dude sat for hours making my gear, why should i destroy his effort into making such a precisely built cymbal such as a K Custom?
|
well at least I'm out of the inner quartiles if the average range is from 14-18.
if I were in your place Phil, I'd be happy. But thats just me. |
good job on outshooting your dad
spelling doesnt matter, as long as you can understand it |
Yes it does. Because not being able to spell cymbal makes us all understand where drummer jokes came from.
Froggy, i am happy about it. Im just worried that she'll keep it and try to raise it alone and i'll find out in 30 years when it decides to find me. I dont want to be kept completely out of the loop. |
oh yeah thats quite true i understand completely.
i've always had this weird fear that if i had an accidental child with someone, then get married to someone else, live with her for about 10 years or so, then one day the first lady comes to my doorstep with a 14 year old kid after she left her husband. that would be awkward |

lighting symbols doesnt do any damage does it? if you dumped some whiskey or something on it, just for a sec? |
To froggys: Exactly :p
And the whole "son, your birth certificate was an apology from durex" conversation could be fairly awkward. |
lighting symbols doesnt do any damage does it? if you dumped some whiskey or something on it, just for a sec?
I wouldnt know. Im not about to try it. I'd assume the heat would cause damage though. |
maybe
|
Would damage the finish without a doubt.
Not to mention is very very dangerous. Fire + Drums = Bad. Stick to the grill's and ovens for fire please. That last thing we need is another Great White situation. |
it is best not to ask...chev i thought you were wrathchild when i first saw your screen name and your picture...they both look alot like hers.
edit: k, do you know what lemon party is?and such gross things like that. dont google it.
Pleeeez  .. at least tell me what was on it :p.. |
This sucks...
I have an electric kit and an acoustic. But lately I haven't got the ability to play on the acoustic one (my brother graduated college so he's home all the time so I can't make noise) and I really notice this. When I play on the acoustic I feel that my technique has gone backwards. It clearly shows that the huge rebound you get from elec kits isn't good foor my technique. Now, my parents are in the middle of divorcing and we'll have to move from this villa to a small appartment where I will never be able to play the accoustic... What should I do? Go 100% electric? (e.g also for gigs and stuff...) Or play less on my electric and find a good pad with less rebound... |
Ergh i feel ****.
My ex aborted my first child without telling me |
Dude Phil that sucks.
Are you a little relieved? Are was the thought of fatherhood starting to get at you? My condolences. |
I am a bit. But then realised that my own flesh and blood is dead. A part of me always wanted the kid
