The secong Neil Young song is Nothing is Perfect (In God's Perfect Plan).
Does anybody else have the Crossroads dvd? I really like the first Joe Walsh song, Funk 49. And Clapton's other guitarist (forget his name, does his own song one time) has a very cool solo on the Blues in C song at the end of the second disc. I didn't watch the whole song, but I know he does a very good solo. And Steve Vai fails to impress on this one I think. He just kept playing the same dumb riff over and over again, and it wasn't very musical at all.
I saw that on PBS a few weeks ago, it was great. Joe Walsh is so crazy on stage, and if you watched John Mayer perform, you'd see how talented he really is. |
What the hell?!?! Why do I always miss these things on PBS? :upset:

I was as surprised as you. It was on after Antique Roadshow, I guess senior citizens just need to rock out after watching other senior citizens have their old quilts priced. |
There was a Phish and Grateful Dead thing too. The last thing I saw on PBS was an all-star disco concert.

Mayer can kill some blues. |

I was amazed on his skill. He wasn't using any picks either. |

Did you see him when he was on the Chappelle show. He did a great job. |

Yeah  He was playing behind his back and all. I had a completely changed opinion on him. |
Just got myself...
George Harrison - Cloud Nine Bela Fleck - Tales from The Acoustic Planet: Volume 2 |
Nice. That's one of George Harrison's best albums, or so i've heard :).
|
No, Cloud Nine is a pretty bad album. It has that horrible song, Got My Mind Set On You. (shivers)
|
Really? I was going to buy it but maybe now I wont. I'll have ti hear some of it though.
|
I haven't heard Cloud Nine, but I was under the impression it was good. Anything by Bela Fleck gets the thumbs up from me, though.

Yeah, the production on the album is great and there are some catchy songs. As for the song, it builds up nicely and has a nice melody. |
hello
|
Hi.
|
Wow, there are two people with George Harrison avatars. I'm impressed.
|
Make it three.
|
Yea I told you guys that John Mayer was sweet. I really wish he'd come out with an album where he plays like that, not his radio stuff. He's awesome.

John Mayer makes Dave Matthews look cool. And that's fucking saying something.
|
John Mayer likes SRV and is on talking about it on SRV's DVD
|
And?
|
I think he's very talented :). I saw him on the Mike Bullard show (yes, summer time tv suxz0rz), his finger picking was very impressive.
|

Cloud Nine Isn't Horrible It's Pretty Bad of Course I Preffer ATMP but I Also like his self-titled album. |
Listen to Tom Waits, people.
He fits here, his first album was in 1973. |
I saw John Mayer player with Double Trouble, and Buddy Guy on Austin City Limits. This was right when he had that song "Your Body is a Wonderland" out..so I assumed he'd just be making a fool of himself, but he definitely held his own with the other blues greats.
edit- anyone see that movie Carny? It was on tonight...Robbie Robertson is in it, and he is one cool cat. |

An easy song. It doesn't have to be finger picked either, just an easy acoustic song. |
