It's called 'Rather Ripped'.

I'm going out just now, but i'll leave slsk on for you. I can't wait to sit and really listen to these albums. I have higher hopes for Mission of Burma though.
Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyze

I'm starting to think this is better than Songs for the Deaf.
Yeah, I was really surprised at how great it is, even though I think Oliveri is awesome. As long as it's got Josh Homme's unique guitar tone and vocals, I guess it will always be a QOTSA album regardless of the bassist.

el doctor 04-12-2006 02:26 PM

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

I was in Chicago the other day, walking along the banks of Lake Michigan and under the shadow of the Sears Tower while listening to this...

but it didn't really make the album any different. :o

It's definitely a grower. I'm always gonna miss Nick's vocals though.

I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed them live after Oliveri left too, maybe it was because my expectations had been lowered.
Cody ChesnuTT - Headphone Masterpiece

Growing on me, I guess. It's like if Guided By Voices were a soul band.
I heard a funny song from that album a while ago. I forget what it was.

morrissey 04-12-2006 11:31 PM

I've been listening to the Housemartin's Now that's What I Call Quite Good every day on the way to school and back, I'm addicted.

"Bow Down", "Five Get Over Excited", "Happy Hour" etc. are genius. I'd recommend them endlessly to any one who likes the Smiths or Billy Bragg or any of that crap.

br3ad_man 04-13-2006 12:01 AM

I've been listening to Derek Webb all afternoon.

Happymeal 04-13-2006 05:30 AM
