Why can't you just burn the avi to DVD?

conference was good. the people running it came to my work the day before and told me exactly what it was i was supposed to be doing, which is running all the stuff for the youth there. so i get there, and they tell me plans have changed, and i'm actually going to be in meetings the entire time. so i have 0 notes or anything prepared (the other people from my work who knew they would be in the meetings had prepared for about a week) so i basically wrote stuff for 3 days straight. learned a lot though. and we had a 23-person drum circle going at one point, and it actually sounded good believe it or not.

wow, one of my kids is like on a rampage now and is acting like we are actively trying to destroy his life.

we just went to the conference, and now i see he's sent us a message saying basically "this is bullshit why wasn't i invited i have gone there more times than the kids you took and you don't invite me to meetings i will not tolerate this i deserve to go"

which is basically the equivalent of me saying "i have lived here longer than the mayor why did he get elected instead of me i will not tolerate this"

we brought more people than we were asked to bring to try to give as many of our kids a chance to grow from this, so we chose the 3 who are most active about bringing about change in an effective manner, and then we get back and one kid we considered but eventually didn't because he just complains about stuff, is complaining about stuff.

i'm tempted to send him back a message explaining this, but i'll wait until he brings it up in person so i can explain our side of it (which he prob won't).
