That's an old picture. Neither of them play Jackson anymore.
|
yeah the jacksons a dupe but when roope joined he used the jackson for a while till they switched with ESP then roope got his loudness, eddie, c.c deville looking guitar.
|
Roope's new ESP is one of the ugliest guitars I've ever seen.
|
Agreed.
Roope looks awesome with it too. And it's not even Alexi's Wildchild guitar.
its not the 100% same guitar, but the shape and the colors are the same.
That's an old picture. Neither of them play Jackson anymore.
hm... its a photo taken in 10-8-2004. i just read it now... at first i thought its a new one. here the whole gallery, click roope and alexi, click |
Sorry, but there are guitarists out there who would make Alexi look like a fool with equipment like that.
I meant the Wild Child guitar, noone needs it except Alexi oy why am i even explaining anything to u or any of u Great pics by the way |
I swear there was a Jackson guitar next to Janne when I saw them live in Jan this year.

I just got a new guitar and I love it like a son. I never felt this way about my other two guitars. Pics are in the community thread.
NP - CoB -Black Widdow |
What kind is it?
I obviously didn't read the community thread.. |
What kind is it?
I obviously didn't read the community thread..
Shechter C1 Exotic or something like that |
i wanted to post it in the Nile thread, but then it would be off-topic so i post it here:
What he said^^. There were pics from the London show on their forums and some guy met them, coulda been me.
pics of you and alexi?!or were you talkin 'bout Nile? .. i have to see it. it kinda surprise me that you are from england, cause that will mean that you post in the CoB thread at night (2am till 5am *g*) when do you sleep then?! |
Lake Bodom, Bodom beach terror and Silent night, Bodom night are all awesome. I've only just got into these guys, so there's a lot I haven't heard.

BUT, when I saw Bodom in London, I could have met them too but I had to leave early to get the last train home. GRRRRRR!!! Yes you're correct, I post in here around 2-5am, I sleep usually from 5-12am to 5-10pm kinda times. It's usually why I'm so tired at college.
Lake Bodom, Bodom beach terror and Silent night, Bodom night are all awesome. I've only just got into these guys, so there's a lot I haven't heard.
Yeah they're all really awesome. You got LB from their first album Something Wild, BBT from their 2003 album, Hatecrew Deathroll, and SN,BN from their 2nd release, Hatebreeder. Most people would agree that either Hatebreeder or Follow the Reaper is their album so look up the track lists on Google and go for any of those next. :thumb: |
how old are you then and what are you learning at college, that you are "allowed" to sleep so long. i understand when you are at university (when some lessons start at afternoon), but i thought college is like school... ?!
NP: Towards Dead End (yesterday i learnt the mozart part at the end of the song :thumb:) |
I'm 18 and "studying" contemporary music. It starts at 9am and I usually get 3-4 hours sleep. It only really bothers me when I get in but then I just take a little nap for a few hours to make up for it.
|
hey, thats cool, that your are "studying" music. i slept 3-4hours in the last two days cause i couldn't fall asleep and i am tired as hell. normally i need at least my 8hours. i couln't make it like you ;)
how far away from london do you live , if i may ask? town-name? i was in london some ... äh... 4years ago... yes... exactly 4yrs ago for one week, visiting my sister who stayed there for a year. |
lol I said "studying" because it's a BAD course. I have actually learnt nothing in the 2 years that I've been there. We do hardly any playing at all, it's all just music buisness, and music industry, freelance, tutorials, planning....BORING. :upset:
I live in Basildon, which is about an hour or so away from Central London, takes about 40-60 mins on the underground train. |
oh, thats bad.... i can believe that it is boring.
if you once travel to vienna, than we can go to the mozarstraße and make this foto together :p of course, with the same posing  |
 That's great. I'm guessing that's near where you live then?
|
'sup fellas
|
 That's great. I'm guessing that's near where you live then?
yes, thats somewhere in vienna, but i don't know exactly where. btw this photo shot my guitar teacher. |
'sup fellas
Hey man, how's the practising?
yes, thats somewhere in vienna, but i don't know exactly where. btw this photo shot my guitar teacher.
That's cool. I would say it's be cool to be somewhere that Bodom have been but considering I've done the hand slap "high five" thing with Roope, it's unessessary, and I stared Alexi in the eyes while screaming the "In Your Face" verse lyrics at him, I feel pretty good. :) (Don't even think about showing me those pics of you and them together!!) Hehe I'm jokin', it's cool you've met em. Touching Roope is the closest I've been to a famous person, pretty much. |
good as always. I blasted the Krank for about 4 hours straight on Friday. I must have logged about 8 hours that day
The weekend was filled with prior engagements and family events so i didnt exactly get to play as much as I wanted to. All in all, i probably hit about 25 hours in the past 4 days. I was looking to double that, but its not a huge deal |
hey, thats great :thumb: i remember when i was in the first row at the NIN concert ... everytime when Trent Reznor looked im my direction i tried to make a photo and at the moment the photo was shot, he turned away. everytime. on my homepage you see only photos of Trent looking in the other direction... but once he looked at me, while i was singing with him a verse. this was last year :D
(Don't even think about showing me those pics of you and them together!!)
you got me :p
All in all, i probably hit about 25 hours in the past 4 days. Nice. 4 hours is pretty much double what I've played this week, or the last 4/5 days or something, I seriously need to practise. But yeah, laziness overules me.
|
the funny thing is, that i can only play when its dark ... so i start at 10/11pm and play for 2hours... during the day i hardly have time. in the next few weeks i have to write a lot for university: alltogether about 30pages, reading lots of books (10-15books in the next month) and so on. right now i write about the history of chechnya (conflict analysis)
|
the hardest thing for me is to just START practicing, because i know when i do, its hard to get me to stop. I tend to get carried away with certain techniques and the time flys
Doing this tends to overlook other techniques that i need to work on. I'm thinking about formulating a regimented practice routine. |

i need to really stop the LEAD practice and move onto rhythm. The gap surprises me sometimes
|
i made a small routine-plan last week:
1) warm up / finger independence 2) special topic (practicing a certain technique) 3) something new (scales/licks) 4) songs/practise and the techniques (special topic) i want to work on: Sweeping hammer-on/pull-off picking/building speed rhythm/chords scales finger stretching finger independence theory earlier i just played anything, now when i don't know what to do next, i look at this, and decide what to pracise. |
A little off topic from this, but check out:
NEEDLED 24/7 PLAYED ON 2 ACCORDIANS! |
my biggest thing lately has been my picking hand. It sounds generalized, but i realized some time ago that it dictates the tempo, and is really "slowing me down"
It seemed like I was only focusing on my fretting hand, and i wasn't paying enough attension to my picking hand, and my playing was suffering because of that, and it was the reason i wasn't making big leaps in the speed department. After I diagnosed the problem, it was really about maintaining that high level of concentration/focus on that hand. While doing this, i realized countless mistakes/problems I've had. This, of course, led to big leaps in terms of alt-picking, as well as sweeping. If i have a "breakdown" of technique now, its extremely easy for me to pinpoint where the problem occured, and how to work on not repeating the problem. |
