The drummer of my ex-band assured me he saw lars use an electric kit on the One video.
I've seen it once, I don't remember seeing an electric kit. And why would he use it? They don't use that audio anyways, they use the cd recording

Exactly my point, why would Lars or Alex Van Halen use electric drums? God that kid is such a pretentious little ass.

in all, Lars uses an acoustic kit, not sure about the one video, but it is probably acoustic. Electric kits have small drum heads, and stuff.
But that's kinda over now isn't it? Didn't Mustaine apologize for everything?
How legit was his apology? He was supposed to be honoring Dimebag and he took the time instead to patch things up with Metallica, which I think he took advantage of the situation for the wrong reasons. You shouldn't need for something like that to happen before you just have a "change of heart"

And Lars believes in the truth and real music a lot (truth-suing napster), so why would he ever use an electric set over a real drumset?

Well it was a big time for metal people. It was an event that slit the metal world pretty badly. It had an impact on the metal world like 9/11 did on the world (not trying to blow it out of proprotion, but that's kinda what i think). It was just a time where everyone was coming together, regardless

metallica_child_666 02-21-2005 04:54 PM

but if u watch the some kind of monster dvd, u c dave mustaine n lars ulrich patching things up there and also lars doesnt use an elctric drum kit, ive seen the one video tons of times and neva hav i been convinced that it was an electric kit, 100% acoustic

willis2441 02-21-2005 04:55 PM

if dave mustaine was still in metallica,(thru the master of puppets era)do you think he would have died in that bus accident like cliff did?would he be singing, playing lead or rythim(its spelled wrong i kno)would james even be playing rythim?or would kirk?

yea that's what i was talking about, since st anger. because SKOM is about the recording of st anger and the hardships between the band, when they were recording that set wasn't electric

Just saying why hasn't he apologized before? He waited for a moment so he would look like the good guy. If he really wanted things patched up with them, then he wouldnt have waited until then.

it all depends who got the top bunk in the tour bus about who wood hav died, cliff n kirk were fighting ova who gets the top bunk in the bus and cliff won so it cood hav been kirk who'd die, also id say dave wood hav dun solos, hes a betta guitarist than he is a singer

munky_magik 02-21-2005 05:00 PM

You've got to remember that this is incredibly hard for him.
And when Dimebag died he pushed those feelings aside and reached out.
Dimebag's death was effectively a catalyst in the healing process for him.

Never been jolted by a major event that's put everything into perspective? Something like Dimebag's death would obviously get you thinking that there's something beyond petty little feuds and that we might as well all get along.

Dave is one of the biggest bull shitters in the music industry.
