Yeah, because all Tool fans should have at least 200 huh Ken?!

I was halfway through the test when I got hungry.

I uploaded this song, and it has nothing to do with Tool, but it may be of interest to you Tool fans as the song is a fairly complex tune. A friend of mine did it

denboy 07-24-2005 08:47 PM

Hey Ken, will we be hearing any clips of Crutch soon?.. I want to know if I should go to bed now, or wait a little longer ;)

Uh, that links to a file called "kissing the shadows.mp3".. ..

SonorKen 07-24-2005 08:53 PM

yea, you can check out some of our stuff on our MySpace account. The only thing that is recorded with the new bass player is "Snippits".

Remember ALL of this is literally being put together in the recordings and is more of a collection of ideas, none of this is in any way a completed song.

Some of the tom patterns won't make much sense as you can't hear the kick drums.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-24-2005 08:59 PM

Oh crap. Lemme re-find the link. :-/

Your general IQ score is: 137

So, am I the smartest Toologist so far?

Awww sethy thanks :p

Seriously man thanks I have wanted to hear you guys.

Moses 07-24-2005 09:04 PM

It depends where you take it. My girlfriend got 126 on this one thing but her real IQ is like 135 and mine on that quiz was like 128.

Ken I just sent a friend request to you band's myspace. You guys sound good even for that quality and Seth has a really Aenima-era Maynard voice.

denboy 07-24-2005 09:06 PM

I can't wait to hear your full songs Ken.. And in better quality.. Those clips show potential!

Dude3 07-24-2005 09:06 PM

Crutch sounded awesome, and I added you guys. Your guitar player is named Maynard? I'm assuming its a nickname.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-24-2005 09:07 PM

Knifeboy/everyone else, that should work out better for ya. :thumb:

Ken, that may also be of interest for you, as he is a very competent musician that may actually have a chance at making something of his music. I'll try to locate his myspace, where you can get 2 more songs.

There you are.

SonorKen 07-24-2005 09:08 PM

Nope, thats his name haha, pretty cool!

denboy 07-24-2005 09:12 PM

Jake, that was a really cool track.. Especially the intro.. And when that riff kicks in.. Wow

Dude3 07-24-2005 09:15 PM
Nope, thats his name haha, pretty cool!
Awesome. What a coincidence too.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-24-2005 09:16 PM

Yeah, I can't wait until he finishes up his next album/EP some time next week. He says it's going to be influenced by Porcupine Tree!

Moses 07-24-2005 09:30 PM

Now that I think about it Ken your singer sound alot like Aaron Lewis except less monotonous.

Mr Herb 07-24-2005 09:33 PM

I got 125, not fair. some words in there I didnt know the meaning off :(

SonorKen 07-24-2005 09:40 PM

Yea, he gets that alot as well. He is compared to Maynard more than anyone. Check this review of him out.

Mr Herb 07-24-2005 09:43 PM

vocalist is a mix of maynard and aroon lewis and then intruments just go along really welll. ...i woudnt mind hearing that on a whole cd. . . good job!

SonorKen 07-24-2005 09:44 PM

He recently joined MX. You guys should talk to him about doing the vocals for your projects. His name on here is breakyourcrutch

Check em all out man, the last one is my favorite. You can really hear some of the phenominal stuff Zach is doing. This is the part where the drum tracks sound kinda goofy cus ya can't hear the kicks.

Mr Herb 07-24-2005 09:46 PM

Does he come in often? Imagine him doing all the stuff missing on vocals!

SonorKen 07-24-2005 09:50 PM

He logs on occasionally. He usually just kinda lurks around and doesn't post. He would probably do all the vocal stuff. I'll have him check out this thread.

Mr Herb 07-24-2005 09:51 PM

The rest of the clips are good too. So much vocal talent should not be put to waste!

breakyourCrutch 07-24-2005 09:52 PM

Hey everybody- thanks for all the props and comparisons, I'mn totally flattered. We'll have some new stuff up on our myspace site really soon. You can check it out if you havent already at www.myspace.com/crutchonline. Thanks again, and keep checking back!

Seth

ATM 07-24-2005 09:55 PM

Pretty cool stuff. You've got a great range, dude.

Darkness 07-24-2005 10:00 PM

Yeah man, your awesome. Your whole band is actually..

SonorKen 07-24-2005 10:04 PM

I forgot what his octave range is, its either 4.5 or 6. Its very similiar to Maynards. I believe Maynards is 5. Anyone know for a fact what it is? Also, Seth's vocal coach was the guy on MythBusters who can actually shatter a glass with his natural voice!

ATM 07-24-2005 10:06 PM

That's awesome.

I wish I could sing :-/

Mr Herb 07-24-2005 10:08 PM

Mind doing cover work for us sethh?

Rothmans 07-24-2005 10:08 PM

I just listend to the stuff I am a bit impressed you have something really going there.

I got 105 on my IQtest dont know to be happy or sad.

I feel like a bit of a fool and anyway it is 5 o clock in the morning.

Do I strike people as a dumb person?
