how do you access the vault?
Question: What were some of the songs Hammet played with Exodus before he joined Metallica? Are there any videos that shows Kirk with Exodus before joing Metallica?
I think Kirk has a bit of stuff on Bonded By Blood, there's an un-released Exodus song called Deathrow that i think he may have had a hand in writing. Also, the song Impaler off the new Exodus album he co-wrote. There are probably bootlegs of Kirk with Exodus on video |
On another note, whos the little shit that posted the spamming link?

Metallica and Bob Rock Part Company
Added Sunday, April 3 Added By: Arto METALLICA, the Grammy-award winning heavy metal band that just added a documentary to their roster of accomplishments, have announced that they are parting ways with long-time Canadian producer Bob Rock. "As grateful as we are to Bob for all he's done for us since 1991, we feel it's time to move on," said drummer and spokesman for the band Lars Ulrich. Metallica felt the need to reassure fans that despite the timing, this was not an April Fool's gag. "Kirk Hammett, guitarist, was the one who mentioned, people are going to think this is an April Fool's joke," said James Hetfield, singer/guitarist. "But we can assure you, it was just a coincidence. We've been thinking about this for some time now, and it's just the way things have panned out." Metallica united with Bob Rock for the 1991 self-titled album, universally called "The Black Album". It was a move that led to many long-time fans turning their backs on the band, while the better sound, simpler song structures and greater commercial acceptance led to a generation of younger fans who had never heard Metallica propelled the foursome to international dominance. The subsequent tour for The Black Album lasted three years. Rock has since worked with Metallica on every studio release, leading many fans and music critics to believe he is single handedly responsible for the commercialization and "selling out" of the band. Under Rock's tutleage, the band have released The Black Album, Load, Reload, Garage Inc, S&M and most recently St. Anger. Rock, who also had production credits for Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and Motley Crue, was unavailable for comment. Metallica have not speculated on who, if anyone, would be taking over as producer, although many fans are hopeful that Flemming Rasmunssen, who was responsible for the Master of Puppets and ...And Justice For All releases, will return to the studio to work with the group. o well... sometimes u have to let go ...
|
I may be the only person who's kinda disappointed with that!
But at the same time, I'm happy, I hope we'll get some better music, but I have a feeling, the best was only available through Bob Rock (And I hate everything Rock has done with Metallica).... |
Yes!!!
|
Oh Thank You Metallica...that's The Most Brilliant Career Move Ever!
|
Meh, I'm too tired to have an opinion
|
heh i didnt like him after i saw SKOM, he made it seem like he was being disadvantaged by everything that happen, made me think "dude, its not about you"
|
I hope we'll get some better music, but I have a feeling, the best was only available through Bob Rock (And I hate everything Rock has done with Metallica)....
That doesnt make sense. Im just now beginning to realize how underrated MEtallicas lyrics are. Each song really does tell its own story. |
did that guy say they were better with bob?
|
did that guy say they were better with bob?
If he did hes an idiot. Ill admit that Bob is great at making money, but thats not what music should be about for Metallica, cause they have enough money to do whatever they want, so they should just make a great album, not worry about selling records. |
they always have to worry about selling records
if they didnt we'd get even worse crap |
they always have to worry about selling records
if they didnt we'd get even worse crap
U think that what the people want to hear is better than what Metallica wants to create? |
