Sticky sticky sticky.

Beat Happening - You Turn Me On

JonM 09-28-2006 09:20 AM

I say re-sticky.

I'm digging all kinds of terrible rap.

Bukowski 09-28-2006 10:06 AM
Beat Happening - You Turn Me On
Awesome album

Disco Inferno - DI Go Pop
Meat Puppets - s/t
Television - Adventure

mr_jackalope 09-28-2006 10:16 AM

Voxtrot - Raised by Wolves EP
Felt - Absolute Classic Masterpieces (because I haven't been able to find any real albums)

Voxtrot is probably going to put out the best debut album of 2007. You heard it here first.

Robert Crumb 09-28-2006 01:41 PM

Playing Pharoah Sanders' "Creator Has a Master Plan" on my radio show. Right now. 5 Minutes left. :)

pixiesfanyo 09-28-2006 02:03 PM

Gospel - The Moon is a Dead World

Man, this album is so good.

asymm 09-28-2006 03:07 PM

resticky.

Siouxsie & the Banshees - Kaleidoscope

Bukowski 09-28-2006 03:27 PM

Pale Saints - Comforts of Madness

one hella good album.

Zappa 09-28-2006 05:43 PM

I think I just realized after all this time that We're Only In It For the Money is one of the most inventive records ever made.

Little Man being Erased 09-28-2006 05:56 PM

The Flaming Lips - Clouds Taste Metallic

This is already my favourite Flips album after two listens.

The Jungler 09-28-2006 05:58 PM

The Format - Dog Problems

Just a great Pop record, plain and simple.

Zmev 09-28-2006 06:00 PM

Rancid - Lets Go!

eh

ATM 09-28-2006 06:04 PM
I saw Butch Walker compared to the Format recently and I was like "yuck."

Anyway,

Savage Garden - Savage Garden
Hilltop Hoods - The Calling
Buckcherry - Time Bomb

I needed the last one to wash the dirty Aussieness off me.
That Hilltop Hoods album is so good.

I'm diggin Louis Logic at the moment.

Little Man being Erased 09-28-2006 06:08 PM
I needed the last one to wash the dirty Aussieness off me.
I'm not gonna argue with that. As far as Aussieness goes, it doesn't get much dirtier. Hilltop Hoods are ok though.

ATM 09-28-2006 06:10 PM

I like that battle rap song, where the one MC is like "Ignorance is bliss and you're a happy mother****a"

Sam 09-28-2006 06:37 PM

Bedhead. Bedhead is cool.

Anxious 09-28-2006 06:41 PM
I think I just realized after all this time that We're Only In It For the Money is one of the most inventive records ever made.
I've always wondered if the slap bass was added in in the re master or if it was original.

Eliminator 09-28-2006 06:43 PM

i'm listneing to stuff i've been recording

it all sucks

Tangy zizzle 09-28-2006 08:33 PM

Dammit Ian, why unsticky it? This the institution of Alt/Indie man, why kill the institution?!!!?

YDload 09-28-2006 09:03 PM
Dammit Ian, why unsticky it? This the institution of Alt/Indie man, why kill the institution?!!!?
it's a sign of respect, man. it doesn't NEED stickied to command attention, everyone just posts in it regardless. be proud, you created a legend.

Tangy zizzle 09-28-2006 09:07 PM

Meh, I suppose. I just liked having it all prominent like.

Anyways... I think I've come to the point where new music just doesn't do it for me anymore. I havn't gotten into any new bands for months, and whenever I go into a record store; they either don't have what I want or I just wanna buy what I already own. I dunno if it's me getting comfortable and stale or just there's nothing good coming out anymore.

That said, the bands that I do like are still putting out the goods, so I guess that's some consolation.

The Ponys - Another Wound
Cougars - Nice, Nice
JSBX - Acme
Pavement - Wowee Zowee

Dog 09-28-2006 09:28 PM

Meat Puppets - Up On The Sun

i've had a sub-par digital copy of this for a while. i just got the remastered cd in the mail a couple of days ago and it sounds so much nicer.

Eliminator 09-28-2006 09:29 PM

Kayo Dot - Choirs Of the Eye
The Fiery Furnaces - Blueberry Boat
Björk - Debut, Vespertine

Kayetan 09-28-2006 09:37 PM

Bohren und der Club of Gore- Sunset Mission

As ghey as that name makes the band sound, this music is amazing. Jazz/ambient/noir or something like that. It's probably the darkest thing I've ever heard.

pixiesfanyo 09-28-2006 09:45 PM

So No Heroes leaked, but I can't find it.

-_-

JonM 09-28-2006 09:59 PM

You know what? I'm digging Lil' Wayne.

Huh.

Glitterati 09-28-2006 10:15 PM

Nas - Illmatic

again.

i just cant get past N.Y. State Of Mind. It could be my favorite rap song ever.

Robert Crumb 09-28-2006 10:34 PM

Curtis Mayfield - There's No Place Like America Today.

Nice so far. Also listened to JT and Junior Boys today.

Zmev 09-28-2006 11:56 PM

The first four songs on Discovery are brilliant.

BillCosby 09-29-2006 12:50 AM
You know what? I'm digging Lil' Wayne.

Huh.
he's got a good verse on "hollywood divorce"

unlike andre...

Little Man being Erased 09-29-2006 02:18 AM
get past it, because "It Ain't Hard to Tell" is even better.

man, that song + good headphones = astounding.
Oh man, I was about to say the same thing.

Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
The Bronx - The Bronx
Spoon - Girls Can Tell

The former two are pretty great, but the latter two are amazing.

Little Man being Erased 09-29-2006 05:28 AM

sticky sticky sticky sticky

Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me

Woah, dude. Yeah, woah.

Eliminator 09-29-2006 05:29 AM

Leftöver Crack - Fuck World Trade

br3ad_man 09-29-2006 07:07 AM

I'm digging the Team America soundtrack. Fun stuff.

Happymeal 09-29-2006 08:07 AM

Hot Snakes - Automatic Midnight

Bartender 09-29-2006 08:17 AM

Amongst a bunch of other stuff;

Aereogramme - Sleep and Release

Was kind of disappointing - kind of really disappointing - at first, but the second half really picked up. I prefer A Story in White so far, though.

Also listened to some Imogen Heap on Wednesday night, commiserating the fact that I was missing seeing her live at the time.

Zappa 09-29-2006 09:02 AM
I've always wondered if the slap bass was added in in the re master or if it was original.
Ew, ew, ew. The bass an drums on your CD are re-taken, and completely ridiculous.

Robert Crumb 09-29-2006 10:26 AM

Serge Gainsbourg in the morning. I had a weird dream last night, can't really remember it but I've been up since 3am. Bonnie and Clyde is like java, and I'm not talking scripting. Two weeks from now, I hope to have put together a Francophile theme show for my radio thing. This week, I'm doing an ode to seasonal change through soul tunes. It's all done, took me a whole hour but in the meanwhile I've been schooling myself on the awesomeness that is Stevie Wonder's "Superwoman." Amazing song.

Interstate 09-29-2006 12:51 PM

Notorious B.I.G - Ready To Die
Dizzee Rascal - Showtime
