I'm sweet today.
Another good hour of TV awaits tonight, and I'm playing a lot of guitar today. I want to play guitar in a band now, it's so much fun. I used to think writing riffs was hard, until I discovered Drop C tuning. |
lol, ive discovered drop b tuning :p im playing all that mudvayne stuff lol
|
i wish i could be at home doing nothing. my job is so unrewarding, hopefully itll be better when ive finished this god **** apprenticeship. im an IT tech what more can i say. everytime sombodys lack of knowledge get the better of them they act like its my fault. im only 18 and i cant wait till i can retire.
|
How come I can play guitar and sing at the same time but not play bass and sing at the same time?
 |
i dunno mate, i find it easier to play bass and sing. is it because of different styles you play on guitar to bass. its more difficult to sing and play a solo than it is to sing and play chords, if you get what i mean
|
Ah, I guess I do play pretty simple guitar stuff. Well, really simple :p.
|
You want to get by the firewall? Well that could be as simple as changing what ports you use to connect to the games, which you may be able to do in the games network options if your lucky. Otherwise, you could probably google up some info about how to change what ports you use. I'd have to look some info up about it if you want my personal help but that will be for later since it's 1:02 am and I'm tired :thumb:
i worked in a school for a year as a computer tech and its not a firewall, and even if it were no kid would have access rights to change the port (unless the network manager is an idiot) its most likey some little website blocking thing. try converting the URL into french (or any other foriegn language for that matter), if the list of blocked websites is in english it might not pick it up in another language. if that doesnt work try clicking tools>internet options>connections>LAN Settings and unselect the "use a proxy server for your LAN" box (thats again if you have the access rights) :thumb: |

That would work for the whole website thing, but I was referring to the gaming issue, which net admins usually handle by blocking known gaming ports. Users can change which ports that they use to connect their games with sometimes, which is what I was suggesting. |
what works even better is if you can get on the computers with out signing into the network, then the firewalls and ports arn't in effect, at least thats how it is at my school. and that way they cant get you in trouble for playing games.
Maybe I should have been ****ed up when I saw it. I just gor back from watching it, and I thought it was kind of lame, with a few decent one liners. The songs were pretty funny though. "Freedom isn't free. It cost's a buck o' five."
joe
Yeah when youre high movies seem either really funny or really stupid. I walked out of the Italian job when I was high cause I thought it was so stupid. I want the soundtrack to Team America though |
Alright, late night in, chilling out, raining outside, everything's cool, as long as I don't think about all the stuff that isn't cool.
Any of you guys like 36 Crazyfists? My friend gave me two of their albums on CD today, ripping it to the computer at the moment. And all of you who like punk-ish music, get your hands on the album A Song To Ruin by Million Dead, it's one of the best albums of it's kind I've heard in ages. Clever and funny lyrics too. |
hey everyone sorry i've been away for a while, but i have had computer problems. so.......any news?
|
There's an update on LR that Wintermute tracked down, basically she's fine :).
|
Ooooh! 36 Crazyfists is SWEET! I love the song "Slit Wrist Theory" on their first album (starts with a digital delay guitar effect). Check it out for sure! :thumb:
|
Yeah that song is sweet, before he gave me the CD's I had about a dozen or so songs on my computer. Mainly the more well known songs like Turns To Ashes, Slit Wrist Theory, One More Word, Bloodwork, At The End Of August, all that stuff that I found on Kazaa basically.
I really like their riffs, and they aren't too hard to bust out on a guitar either. |
Nah, their stuff is super simple, but dang catchy and fun to play! They're from Alaska too; interesting side note.
|
Yeah, simple check; if I can play it on guitar, it's not very difficult. They got me started on my own Drop C guitar riffs. I was rocking out in computer room for like four hours today .
And yeah hey, Alaska! What an awesome place. Well it probably sucks to be from there, but it sure is interesting sounding. Did you see the movie Insomnia? That was in Alaska I think. That movie was wicked cool. |
So, anyone want to go to my Torts class for me? :D
