but it would be seemingly impossible for the Playstation to have sharper graphics because the N64 had double the graphics processing power :|
I dunno, N64 graphics always seemed kinda blurry.
Oh, I have no beef with the PlayStation, really.
I know, and I don't hate Nintendo, it's just that they just aren't for me. PlayStation and XBox are better for sports and stuff.
"Hey, how do I bring up the receivers?" "Square. SQUARE DAMMIT THROW THE BALL I'M WIDE OPEN!" "Uhh..." /looks down, gets sacked for twelve yards "Oh, you mean Button 2..."
Whaat, you played on the same team as your buddy? That's not how you play Madden! |
I wish i understood American Football.
I wish i understood English Football. :( |
Playstation is eternally better for extreme sports games, Tony Hawk mainly.
|
I really hate sports games. Every Tony Hawk game is essentially the same thing anyway, I stopped playing them after the second one for Playstation.
|
Best one = up to 3. The rest bored the hell out of me.

Oh I can't get enough of them...they always manage to suck me in the most, but then again I'm a big sports fan. The recent Maddens go so in-depth with micromanagement stuff in Franchise mode that I get addicted. Same with NCAA Football (and ESPN College Hoops, and MVP Baseball, and ESPN NBA...) |

You didnt like Tony Hawks Underground ? The best one IMO. |
It was excellent up until you beat it. Then it sucks horribly.
The levels didn't have the same feel that the levels in the first 3 had. |

I enjoyed creating my own teams and players, but that was about it. The actual gameplay seemed very boring once I got the hang of it. I'm more into violence and RPG's. |
Still, Half-Life 2 is the best, and most atmospheric ever.
|

The levels didn't have the same feel that the levels in the first 3 had.
I still have fun with it. Especialy you can listen to the music you have in your Xbox at the same time. Last weekend, I played a lot of Resident Evil 2 on Ps1. Love that game. |
Urgh, Half-Life 2 pissed me off too. I don't know whether it was the fact that my friend's computer couldn't run it very well, or the fact that I didn't know what to do, or a combination.
|
Whaat, you played on the same team as your buddy? That's not how you play Madden!
Haha, nah, I played against people, too, but if the game offers more than one way of playing, ya gotta try 'em all.
Maybe I should pick up the one that they made for Gamecube. It doesn't have the same feel, but it's better than nothing.
$19.99 brand new, maybe even cheaper at a used shop. Either way, it'd be a worthwhile investment, I think.
/Half-Life 2
I don't know if I'll ever be able to play that game again, especially since I was so far and my brother F'd the computer up back home (where I was playing it over the summer) and my dad had to re-format :upset: |

It might be slightly confusing, but i think that once you get the hang of it, most people never play a better game. I know i havent, bar WoW, but thats only because of the play time. |
Last weekend, I played a lot of Resident Evil 2 on Ps1. Love that game.
I loved that game so much. I wish I could find it in stores. |
Yea, my godmother's son has it. Oh, the memories it brought back...
I lost my walkthrough guide though. |
The first Resident Evil was damn near impossible to figure out without a walkthrough.
|
I loved that game so much. I wish I could find it in stores.
I used to be scared of playing :p Got over that but I'm still jumpy. The first one on Ps1 is good too, except for the graphics and the horrible voicing. I'de get a Gamecube only for the Resident Evil Games. |

I remember me and a fried going down into his basement, turning off the lights, and playing RE. It was horrifying. |
I'm so getting RE when it comes out on DS in a few months.
I also want to get a new game for my PC, but im unsure. FEAR sounds like a good game. |

Yeah but when head-to-head Madden is so good what's the point in using any other mode? I used to only watch my brother play..until one day I started playing without being scared and it went from there.. I read the books too. About 5 times each :p |
That's right! |
Did anybody ever play that Resident Evil offshoot with the dinosaurs? I forget what it was called, but word was that that was one of the most terrifying games of the day.
I think I'd always be much too scared to play those graphic horror-based games. The Suffering in particular looks much too twisted for my tastes, even though I'm sure it's cool. Hell, I get freaked out just playing the Doom 3 demo. :p EDIT: Shadowsfallen, sports ARE organized violence. Come on now, get with the program. |
Yeah but when head-to-head Madden is so good what's the point in using any other mode?
Having fun? I mean, I dunno. It's just something different, I guess.
I played a little bit of Half-Life 1, had no idea why it was so big, and then stopped playing it forever.
Well, the second one is aeons past the first one. I didn't like the first one all that much... the second one is just phenomenal in terms of aesthetics, though. I just don't "get" the storyline for the games. First, you're killing humans, then aliens, then humans, then more aliens. |
Ray i saw this group of guys rapping in the big town near me today (Leicester) when i was shopping and thought of you. I stood and listened for abit with my cousin, they were actually very good, and later after talking to them found out they were Islamic guys who were preaching equality and unity, and reasons why not to look up to 50 Cent and the like through their lyrics.
Although i didn't catch what they were called, but they were certainly very good, had a very Nas feel to it methinks. Thats how much i stereotype anyway, i see some asians rapping and BAM think of Ray. :( |
Best football game is NFL 2K3 for Ps2.

Nothing England likes more than seeing a stadium full of working class, white idiots shout 'Paki on the pitch' at some football player. Quite sad really. |
Nothing America likes more than seeing a few black guys beat the crap out of each other.
Ya, and the irony of it all is that's the only activity you can possibly participate in that can actually earn you a living. You can rap too, but then you might start a feud and get shot. Either way, it's fine with the white folks. :D :upset: Oh, how terrible our country is. NP: Queensr˙che - Revolution Calling |
