You're telling me a Fender Bass would cost around the same as a Squier?

It would cost $30-$50 more, but regardless if you buy it in a box set you're spending less than $300 for the whole package. I'm not talking about a straight out bass guitar.

I just don't see how the $600 Fender bass gets valued down to 250 when you add a 15 wt amp to the package. :confused:

Because they use replacement pickups and cheap strings. They take the Fender body and equip it with off-brand electronics and hardware so that it goes from a $600 bass to a $10 bass.
