Depressed much?
|
Yeah. I also discovered the rest of their albums after Children of God a few weeks ago so I have to listen to all of them.
|
Spencer P. Jones
Way better than Beasts of Bourbon. Way better. |
Clinic were good. Know if they have anything comin' out soon?
|
Mazzy Star, are they listened to here? Are they indie? oshi
|
So early I attempted listening to Merzbow.
I'll try again tomorrow. |
Jackson C. Frank
Not really a/i, but it's still good. |
The Cure - Po'rnography
|
The Mekons - Retreat from Memphis
And I'm going to see the Mountain Goats this evening. Should be mega. |
The Arcade Fire - Funeral
I bought this right after it came out and was so turned off by all of the hype. As time has gone on though, I've only grown to like this more. One or two songs fall flat, but "Crown of Love" and "Rebellion (Lies)" more than make up for that. Yo La Tengo - I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your *** This is great so far (about 4 songs left). It's a lot more eclectic than their last few releases. |
Neil Young - Ragged Glory
Neil Young - Sleeps With Angels Neil Young - After the Goldrush Cool guy, that Neil Young. |
Jon Lucien and Lee Hazelwood. Need to hear more from both these guys.
|
Pretty much anything by Madlib in preperation for the new Madvillain LP.
|
Make Believe - Of Course
So far I still prefer their first one. There's some really good bits in this though. |
Meat Puppets - Meat Puppets II
Merzbow - 1930 Russian Circles - Enter Blackalicious - Blazing Arrow Comets on Fire - Blue Cathedral Daughters - Hell Songs |

Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime
This album rules so hard it hurts. |
Yank Crime is pretty sweet, do you have s/t too?
|
Nope, but I think I might pick it up.

Piano Overlord (Scott Herren's other project)
The songs are a lot more keyboard/synth based, as the name implies, than the usual Prefuse. |
Sebadoh - III
and I'm about to watch The Wire and then go see Man Man play live. It's going to be a great evening. |
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - No More Shall We Part
so far so good why is nick cave so effing awesome |
The Flaming Lips - Clouds Taste Metallic
Hüsker Dü - Zen Arcade The Bronx - The Bronx TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain First time listening to all of those. Clouds Tast Metallic is my first taste of pre-Soft Bulletin FLips and it is excellent. Couldn't really dig Zen Arcade except for a handful of songs, but I'm not surprised because I don't normally listen to stuff like it. I'll definitely give it a chance to grow though. The Bronx is mind-fuckingly awesome. Return to Cookie Mountain is a hell of a lot better than Desperate Youth. |
I was waiting for that. But Zen Arcade just seemed a bit boring for some reason. Maybe I wasn't in the correct frame of mind at the time.

Zen Arcade has a lot of boring stuff in it. But the good stuff is so good (including just about anything by Grant Hart) so keep listening :)
