Dave recently left Megadeth, right?

I'd like to see Dave go on tour with Metallica, but I don't know if the crowd will appreciate it..
Megadeth are still together, but this is there last tour.
Even then it's more like Dave & friends than Megadeth.

Well, Megadeth more so broke up, but they finished their contract with (Insert their music label) so yeah. I believe Mustaine shoudl go on a solo project, would be pretty cool imo.

And yeah Dave Mustaine on tour with Metallica, playing Kill 'em All through Ride The Lightning (Chucking in his own improvised solos!) would ****en rock.
I would pay with my life to see that.

P.S. I can't rep you again, but I would! :p

Edit: To whoever neg repped me, yeah it was pointless, but going by now, half the posts in this thread woudl be pointless, so...

Britt420 02-20-2005 11:07 AM

watching some kind of monster, and seeing dave was quite interesting.

a part of me couldn't help but feel a tad bit sorry for him.

Yeah, but before you did, someone neg repped me, it's cool.

Edit: Well 2 people repped me, and between them I got 33 rep from it, you were the only one who signed the rep, so thanks :D
And to the mysterious repper, thanks man :)

Britt420 02-20-2005 11:10 AM

was it just me, or did he really seem hammered out of his skull???

it seemed like he was trying to make lars feel sorry for him, but lars didn't take the bait.

Britt420 02-20-2005 11:12 AM

and i'm a bit confuzzled by this whole rep thing.

But I really wanna see it!! Hahaha..

Britt420 02-20-2005 11:13 AM

its really good. showed a lot of the fighting between james and lars. i never thought it was that bad.

Joe 02-20-2005 11:17 AM
and i'm a bit confuzzled by this whole rep thing.
the middle box (check and a -) under someones name in their post. click that and type something and click one of the options, postitive rep or negative
it seemed like he was trying to make lars feel sorry for him, but lars didn't take the bait.
I thought Lars was feeling pretty bad, but that he made a good decision at first

Britt420 02-20-2005 11:20 AM

alright thanks. i just rep+ you

yeah well i do think lars had made a good decision. i just thought he didn't look like he cared how hurt dave was in the film. could be very mistaken though. there were a lot of bad vibes in it. but the film rocks!!!

Well you also know that the film didn't show the whole meeting between Lars and Dave, only the parts which kinda made Metallica looked better (Well, as I haven't seen it myself, my opinion doesn't go far, but this is what I have heard, and from alot of the 'non-Metallica' fans I know irl this is the same thing I expected happened, they all tell me how much of a ***** Mustaine was in the film, since they have seen it).

Joe 02-20-2005 11:24 AM
well thats good. should i watch it?
YES! WATCH IT!

it's a great documentary. My mom is so sick of Metallica and she even thought it was well done. you'll love it if your a metallica fan

Britt420 02-20-2005 11:31 AM

lots of stuff was cut out of the film actually. it is a must see even if you hate metallica. you can get a better understanding of the band as a whole.

JH LU KH RT 02-20-2005 11:32 AM

Yeah i personally liked the special features section better than the movie, it had a lot of cool stuff about the album and random cool sh1t.

munky_magik 02-20-2005 11:33 AM

It's not a very good documentary becasue it doesn't present the truth, but is edited to make the band look good.
I imagine the way things are, and they way they appear in the film are rather different.

what truth is that?

I don't know, but it won't be the way shown in the film

FreeTheNeonLights 02-20-2005 11:52 AM

Hey, A few months ago, i saw a metallica music video, i diddnt catch the name of the song. It had an orchestra playing with them. I reallyed liked it. Can someone tell me the song name?

It was probably 'no leaf clover'

btoto 02-20-2005 11:56 AM

I agree with Munky Magik. First of all if they (Jaymz&Lars) did have arguements about something, they must have talked about it alone, in privacy. But as the movie shows, the camera is everywhere. I haven't seen the whole movie but I saw many cut pieces from it, I think it is indeed shot to be sold well.

Well Lars, you're a marketing genious. You knew that the part with Dave will make even higher sells. Some 'deth fans of course wanted to watch it because of Dave, and I'm sure they did. More money??? Oh yes !
A 'tallica movie featuring a respected musician i.e Mustaine. More arguements??? Oh Yes !

I'm sure it was meant to be well sold. Maybe in some parts Jaymz was sincere...I'm sure he was because that man's eyes never lie. But the rest....NO!

It is indeed a very interesting film and I will buy the DVD for my birthday in early March. But to tell you the truth, I don't think this is what we wanted to see....this is what Mr.Ulrich wanted us to see.

You're gonna have to be more specific...they did a 20+ song set with a symphony. What were some of the lyrics, etc?

FreeTheNeonLights 02-20-2005 12:06 PM

I dont remember it was moths ago.

I remember a bit of the vocal line, and in a part the lights cut out and came on a again.

Ill check iif it was no leaf clover.

btoto 02-20-2005 12:10 PM

Lights went out during For Whom The Bell Tolls

Burdcheese 02-20-2005 12:14 PM

Anyone else think SKOM was every bit as funny as Spinal Tap? :p
