Another DVD!

Yeah it looks very good i havent actually got it yet ive ordered it but it should be here soon.

Anyways another dvd coming out soon...

------------------------------------------------------------------

Los Angeles thrashers HIRAX will release their first DVD, "Thrash Til Death", on April 25 through Black Devil Records.

"Thrash Til Death" features over two hours of live footage — the complete set from Minneapolis Mayhem 2, plus bonus footage from shows played in Germany (Bang Your Head Festival and warm-up show), Sweden (Sweden Rock Festival), The Netherlands (Dokk 'Em Open Air Festival), and San Francisco (Tidal Wave Festival and Thrash of the Quintana (KUSF 23rd anniversary show at The Pound SF).

The tracks compiled on this visual anthology span HIRAX's entire career and were filmed using professional cameras, multiple camera angles, and high-quality audio. The DVD also contains an interview with the entire band, "Hostile Territory" promo clip, a full visual discography including liner notes and artwork (by Pushead, "Mad" Marc Rude, and Craig Cummings), and even an Easter egg (hidden concert footage from Fender's Ballroom in 1985).

"We are very excited about the DVD," said singer Katon W. De Pena. "It contains some of the most amazing performances the band has done up until this point. I wanted it to be something that HIRAX diehards as well as any fan of extreme metal would be proud to own. As a matter of fact, this DVD was compiled and edited by a huge metal fan, Eddie Boyd (aka 'Sickthrash'), who has been collecting thrash memorabilia since the beginning."

"Thrash ‘Til Death" will be available through Century Media distribution as well as Black Devil Records. European and South American distribution is in the works.

HIRAX is currently in the preproduction stage for their upcoming album "Assassins Of War". Joining vocalist Katon W. De Pena are original HIRAX drummer Johnny Tabares, lead guitarist Lance Harrison, and bassist Steve Harrison.

Ihsahn 03-13-2006 08:02 PM

Get Thrashed is like...supposedly still being tweaked but eh...I've lost hope

Apocalyptic Raids 03-13-2006 10:22 PM

Yeah I'll be suprised if it even comes out if they keep this up.

FatalEnergy 03-13-2006 11:29 PM

Kreator was awesome. Much more old school setlist than last time I saw them. My recorder ran out of batteries and the whole recording I made was messed up. Oh well. The pulled out Love Us or hate Us. That really suprized me. I also got the Terrible Certainty shirt.

NP: Kreator - Flag of Hate

2 month until Exodus
3 months until Destruction
and 5 more months until Sodom.

Bazarov 03-13-2006 11:36 PM

That sucks, I was kind of looking forward to hearing that bootleg. I wish I lived up near Hollywood, I'd be going to all kinds of concerts. :/

Are you going to see Slayer in Long Beach?

New Sodom album = good.

Me not going to see Sacrifice in Toronto = bad.

Hirax and Laaz DVD, excellent; I'll definitely be buying those.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-14-2006 07:13 AM

Lords Of Depravity and City Of God are my favourites from the new Sodom so far.

Hirax and Laaz are two bands I need to get some more of. I heard some mp3s of both ages ago, but that's it.

metal-militia 03-16-2006 07:20 AM

My first post in ages!

Good news on those DVD's, they sound great.

Jon, definately check out some more Laaz Rockit, they are pretty good, whilst Hirax are merely ok.

I haven't been listening to much thrash really, and i'm behind on all the news. What have i missed? Whats this about new Sodom!?

DimebagDarrell 03-16-2006 01:50 PM

New sodom = great
New sadus = pretty ****ing bad nothing like older stuff also chuck billy is on it but he does those stupid death metal growls i dont like it when he does that.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-17-2006 05:21 AM

The new Sadus songs I heard on their myspace sucked :(

DimebagDarrell 03-17-2006 01:25 PM

theyve tried to add groove to their songs and it hasnt payed off one bit, im not a big fan of it personally

New venom in 2 days :D

iceman3019 03-17-2006 11:47 PM

the only thrash that i can get into is old sepultura, old metallica, some testament, venom, and some old megadeth. i just don't find thrash all THAT great, but it's better than a lot of other metal . . .

Pandfair 03-19-2006 01:14 PM

I like thrash more than any other metal subgenre. Try some Exodus, Artillery and early Overkill.

My Hypnosia album arrived yesterday.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-20-2006 09:04 PM

Was it Extreme Hatred?

DimebagDarrell 03-21-2006 03:37 AM

Metal Black is pretty damn good really im not sayin its black metal but its still an alright listen.

Lords of Depravity is awesome there is a 3 hour documentary which i aint watched all the way through yet because its all in german iwill get round to it

Apocalyptic Raids 03-21-2006 03:51 AM

I saw Lords Of Depravity in the store on the weekend. I didn't have enough money :(

DimebagDarrell 03-21-2006 05:12 AM

It is really worth getting its well put together for starters its the full history [well the early days] i think it goes too just after masqerade in blood but ive not seen that far interviews with kreator and chris barnes few others too, good stuff

I want the arsenal of megadeth now :D

Apocalyptic Raids 03-21-2006 05:20 AM

Yeah, I really want to get it.

I want the new that Judas Priest - Live Vengeance too.

Pandfair 03-21-2006 07:31 AM

Yeah, it was Extreme Hatred.

I've just heard Laaz Rockit for the first time. I'm starting to regret not hearing them sooner.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-21-2006 07:37 AM

Ah, thanks for reminding me! I've been meaning to get one of their albums.

RCA 03-21-2006 08:44 PM

The new Venom, in my opinion, is horrible. :(

What's this about a new Priest live album, Jon?

Apocalyptic Raids 03-22-2006 12:44 AM

http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=106949

Live Vengeance '82. It was originally only available as a part of the Metalogy Box Set.

Shred Danson 03-22-2006 12:59 AM

Bah, any Venom is horrible, in my crappy opinion.

Bazarov 03-22-2006 01:05 AM

Venom for me either has hit or miss songs.
Don't Burn the Witch = Hit
In League With Satan = Miss
