^^^ its really not a good idea to put drums in places where the temperature will fluctuate. I'm not sure whether thats why your heads are getting damaged, but its likely that eventually the plys of your shells will start to separate. Something to do with materials expanding when they're hot and contracting when they're cold. Its something like that anyway.

T
well, I don't really have any other place to put them... heh. It's not that bad, just during the summer the walls all get all hot and trap in the heat, so it can get pretty hot and stuffy (I hate drumming in the summer ). But then at night it cools off and I usually have fans going the whole time.

I also tuned up the 10" tom a little bit the day before it cracked. I guess that in combination with the heat may have caused it.

Nope. I bought them. I've been saving for 6 months. I bought a 21 K Brilliant Crash Ride, and an 18 K Dark Thin Crash. After graduation I'll probably buy the 24 K Light Ride. That is after I buy my mandala :p

gimp fest 06-01-2008 08:20 AM

3003's seem like a step down from a cx imo.

i need i new stool, has anybody tried the mapex really thick pro round ones? or if not any suggestions for round stool would be swell.

Berk 06-01-2008 08:32 AM

what are you talking about? The 3003 lugs are ****ing amazing, mounts are sick, Overall the hardware on the 3K* kits are just flawless. Ive only really heard my older 3003 and it was pretty sick.

Nice! Did you buy them all new or used? I'm in the market for a new SM57 because i believe that mine is broken. Whenever i plug it in via XLR there is a crackling that comes through the diaphragm of the mic!

Howdy MX.

I'm in the process of making a Gavin Harrison-esque rack for my bell/chime collection.

Pics when I'm done, although the felts, wingnuts and sleeves wont be here for a few days.

BummerJonny 06-02-2008 11:20 AM

saw Rush night! It was ****ing amazing!

I'm totally buying Snakes and Arrows first chance I get!

MeaninglessPhoto 06-02-2008 12:45 PM

Its badass dude. I picked up the Live Snakes and Arrows last week. Now, ive loved Rush ever since I was 7 or 8, but damn. Its good to hear songs like Entre Nous and Circumstances, songs that were never played live, being played live.
