i used to always buy a giant bag of popcorn at the grocery store for a dollar or 2 and take it in. beats paying 80 dollars for their poop covered in partially hyrdrogenated soybean oil

oh god but it's so good. I am so punk rock that I usually sneak into the movies. There's hardly ever anyone taking tickets at my local theater, save Friday and Saturday night, so I've seen a lot of movies for free. The only time I get snacks, I'm there with my mom or something and she's paying for it. Good deal.

i try to go to this local independently owned theatre that has movies for 5 dollars and popcorn for 2. and they rarely show totally crappy movies.

There's a second-run theater in my town, but I hardly ever go. They used to do really cool midnight movies, but haven't lately.

The theater near me used to have a fat boy come out in a top hat and tux and tell us about the movie we were about to see and where the exit was.

Unfortunately, they stopped doing that. Sad days.
