King of the Hill rules.

The older episodes go too slow, like in a Beavis and Butthead fashion (well, they both have the same creator).

Bordello 01-16-2008 02:39 PM

It fit with Beavis and Butt-head though.

The older episodes are just all bad in general. They make Hank seem like a jackass most of the time. I don't know if that's intentional or not but it's weird. The coloring is pretty off sometimes too, like when they cut between two characters as they talk.

Most of the voices don't even really fit.

I think I am physically addicted to soft drinks, it's 9pm here and I haven't had a coke all day and I actually felt withdrawal.

I usually have a Pepsi or some root beer/cream soda because all there is to drink in my house is milk, orange juice and water. At all times.

Im suddenly inspired to listen to the Minutemen after reading their chapter in Our Band Could Be Your Life, is DNOTD the best starting point?

Pretty much. There's 43 songs or something. You're going to like some if not all of them.

Our Band Could Be Your Life is a good book. When I read it, I liked one or two of the bands in it, now there's only one or two I don't listen to regularly.

Anxious 01-16-2008 07:42 PM

One of them being Mudhoney. Why is that chapter even there?

Thanks 01-16-2008 07:42 PM

You will love the Minutemen, because it is impossible not to.

Or you could be like me and skip to the point where you don't listen to punk anymore and only rock out to swing jazz.

Ando! 01-16-2008 08:26 PM

I'm about there too

Thanks 01-16-2008 08:30 PM

But I started listening to jazz before I started listening to punk rock.

samariah 01-16-2008 08:31 PM

thanks

that scrabulous move was not needed

Ando! 01-16-2008 08:32 PM

Yeah me too. although I still plan on never listening to Beat Happening, the chapter on them has at least made me willing to accept their existence (even after what kind of wussy twee-crap they've spawned  )
