Apocalyptic Raids 02-03-2006 11:59 PM

haha, I could have had my license two years ago.

I still don't have it :(

Toaster 02-04-2006 12:00 AM

It's really easy. Just know demerit points and who has the right of way, you should be fine. You're talking about the written test?

Apocalyptic Raids 02-04-2006 12:01 AM

I'm just lazy.

blue3 02-04-2006 12:02 AM

I was talking about the written test.. I think it's just 20 questions and apparently it's really easy.

Toaster 02-04-2006 12:03 AM

Take an hour out of your day, go to the centre and take the test. What's so bad about being able to drive? There's close to no work involved.

Mine was 40 questions.

gmoneyguy 02-04-2006 12:17 AM

When I took my permit test its was all multiple choice. 10 on signs, and 20 on traffic laws. Then I took a driving test for my license.

Tyler 02-04-2006 12:22 AM

license I believe

I dont plan on gettnig mine soon, but my parents would really like me to. Living in Toronto I dont really have the need for a car, I only ever go between Downtown Toronto and Etobicoke, all of which are subway accessible.

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-04-2006 01:03 AM

I got an 80 on the written and an 84 on the driving portion of my tests for obtaining my license. 80 is the benchmark, so I just scooted by.

I failed my first written test, but they're like "Oh, you get 3 tries, try again."

This being right after the graded it in front of me. I aced it on my second try. <_<

Jacaranda 02-04-2006 01:08 AM

I ran a red light in the driving portion and got 100% or close to on my written. It was 11:28 (It ended at 11:30) and I ran a yellow light that halfway into the intersection it turned red, so I failed.

Ouch. Lame :-\

I rolled stops and sped.

I passed though.

ghettoeddo 02-04-2006 01:11 AM

with you kinda people driving, idk if the streets are safe anymore :p

Leper 02-04-2006 01:15 AM

I got 95% on the written portion, and JUST slid by on the driving part. I can't remember what my score was, but I remember the guy saying that if I made one more mistake I would've failed.

Eh, I'm actually a great driver to be honest. I just don't follow the law well.

When I have other people in the car I'm a lot safer, but I've never had someone tell me they felt unsafe driving in my car. :)

Jacaranda 02-04-2006 01:18 AM

I walk every, so I don't mind not having my license. I have a car but no license I don't plan on getting my license until my 12th year if possible. Walking is much *funner!

*Cheaper.

Leper 02-04-2006 01:27 AM

I have to have a car, living outside the city and all.

I pride myself on being a pretty good driver as well. Gone in the ditch 3 times, but never been in a single accident, and I've never gotten pulled over.:)

gmoneyguy 02-04-2006 01:54 AM

I have been pulled over twice(only for speeding), but only got one ticket. I got into 2 accident my first few months of driving.

Nostalgia 02-04-2006 02:07 AM

I've been pulled over twice for speeding too, but I just flirt with the cop and I'm out scott free.

xizoesira 02-04-2006 02:07 AM

I scratched the back bumper of my car on a wall and got pulled over once for not having my lights on.

Otherwise I've had no issues driving and I got a very nice car for free. ++

Ouch, that sucks. Were the accidents your fault?
Okay, I'd like some feedback and general opinions of everyone here:

I was thinking about doing a series in The Pit that would basically be teaching people about something I find interesting, be it about the law, or math, or psychology, or whatever I feel like teaching about. I did one of these before (it was in psychology, regarding the Bem-Androgeny scale), and it kind of took off after the first few posts of "There's no way I care about this." So, I was wondering if you guys would be interested in me continuing it. For example, I could write one here and show you the statistical inner workings of the R&M competitions. Would you guys be cool with this, and maybe even read these little lessons, or what?

I think that would be interesting. Unfortunatly, the maturity level of some of the Pit regulars isn't very high.
hmm...I would be interested. In fact I have never heard of the term " Bem-Androgeny scale" (or maybe it's just different in greek)

Jev 02-04-2006 08:55 AM

The Pit's gotten a bit boring since I've joined. I'm beginning to hate it now.

Stormrider 02-04-2006 08:58 AM

The only time I go in the pit is when theres nothing happening in R&M. I dont post there though...only read.

On another note, I have to do a Magic show for english class as our oral..

Apocalyptic Raids 02-04-2006 08:58 AM

Sometimes I post in the Pit around this time, when R&M is often dead.

Jev 02-04-2006 09:02 AM

I need to be doing English Essays. The deadline's Feb 8th.

Stormrider 02-04-2006 09:05 AM
