 I can't have sound on 'cause I'm at work, which makes it super hiliarious.
Haz come down to Wollongong and we'll film out-there stuff for filmclips.

Meatplow 01-28-2010 04:51 PM

it's a deal

Aaron 01-28-2010 04:52 PM

:-)

This is so out of place on that horrible Doctorin' The Tardis EP. I love the way it is sampled in this Liam Howlett mash-up off of The Prodigy Presents The Dirtchamber Sessions Vol. 1, track rules so hard -

Aaron 01-28-2010 05:04 PM

I hate The Prodigy except for Fat of The Land.

Meatplow 01-28-2010 05:12 PM

I liked their early hardcore electronic releases as well as the later stuff, this is not a Prodigy album as such though it's a mashup session Liam Howlett did for some british radio show called The Breezeblock. It covers a lot of different ground and is unlike anything else they've done, I think you would dig it's unconventional nature.

Scoot 01-28-2010 06:15 PM

Bloody Beetroots anyone?

Meatplow 01-28-2010 06:55 PM

Warp is pretty cool.

http://www.box.net/shared/sfqi7yf7bk

A rough mashup I just made if anyone wants to take a listen.

Aaron 01-28-2010 09:31 PM
Bloody Beetroots anyone?
I really hate that group.

Meatplow 01-29-2010 03:11 AM

Considering releasing an EP consisting only of monophonic sinewave compositions.

Jaundice 01-29-2010 03:11 AM

I've never cared for sine waves particularly.

Meatplow 01-29-2010 03:20 AM

low pitched bass heavy sine waves are so beautiful to me

Jaundice 01-29-2010 03:21 AM

yeah put a sawtooth LFO on it and some delay

buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh

Meatplow 01-29-2010 03:22 AM

It's like, pornography.

Aaron 01-29-2010 03:23 AM

Risset drums yo

Jaundice 01-29-2010 03:23 AM

i want to do music with real instruments

like, the kind you have to touch

Meatplow 01-29-2010 03:24 AM

I am known to bust out the guitar on occasion

Jaundice 01-29-2010 03:26 AM

yeah i've been thinking about doing some more guitar business lately

pink and yellow has more guitar in it than i would have thought , even if it's not real guitar and in some cases isn't even guitar at all and just sounds like one

Jaundice 01-29-2010 03:29 AM

Aaron 01-29-2010 03:32 AM

I play lots of instruments, but hardly ever do.

Jaundice 01-29-2010 03:34 AM

i'd rather play a lot of instruments badly than play one instrument well

i have a guitar, bongos and synth. Need a moog, lap steel guitar, dobro, djembe, congas, turntable, some other stuff too.

Aaron 01-29-2010 03:35 AM

Wait, that statement returns a null value. Fail.

Jaundice 01-29-2010 03:37 AM

I actually really want a turntable , yeah

Meatplow 01-29-2010 03:40 AM

I am considering the purchase of a Microkorg as a logical first step to actually getting some gear

Jaundice 01-29-2010 03:42 AM

micro korg doesn't have status , tho

but i was thinking back the other day and i remembered that getting a moog was like the coolest thing to think about back when i was an indie kid

Meatplow 01-29-2010 03:43 AM

it's not a bad little unit for the price I am told

getting an original moog would be pretty awesome

Aaron 01-29-2010 03:50 AM

Nice choice. Me and Ben share one.

Jaundice 01-29-2010 03:51 AM

jesus christ

**** a moog, they're like two thousand dollars

Aaron 01-29-2010 03:58 AM

I mean the micro XL.

Jaundice 01-29-2010 03:58 AM

i realize this

Aaron 01-29-2010 04:00 AM

I see. I need to use my stuff more. I have cool things but forget.

Aaron 01-29-2010 04:01 AM

I prefer the Access Virus to the Moog.

Jaundice 01-29-2010 04:02 AM

I always hear this really edgy music in my head

it's like this clamoring outburst of sick adolescent rebellion

i've never been able to put it in a proper song

Meatplow 01-29-2010 04:23 AM

I imagine it to be something like Missing Foundation

Jaundice 01-29-2010 04:24 AM

it sounds like a really dark, experimental version of Mindless Self Indulgence.

Or like, the middle ground between Alice in Chains and Lil Wayne.

Meatplow 01-29-2010 04:35 AM

I would actually like to hear that. Maybe you should hum it into a mic as a rough appropriation.

Jaundice 01-29-2010 04:39 AM

i really should get together with a couple people and try to put some thing on wax

it's just a vague concept but it's really depraved, im always thinking about this vocal style that's like hip-hop but delivered in these weird melodies and i want a girl just singing in the background in harmony with it dissonantly

Epidemechanical 01-29-2010 10:53 AM
it's not a bad little unit for the price I am told

a microkorg is what i use to make everything

the thing about it is

when you combine something like the MK (which is a midi controller) with a program like Eastwest/QL or Reason 4.0 or Ableton or w/e it may be

you can basically do anything

Jaundice 01-29-2010 12:16 PM

I have a Novation Xio but I never use it.

Meatplow 01-29-2010 04:39 PM

Yeah, i've been using a cheap keyboard as a MIDI controller with Ableton Live for a while now, it's been useful.
