Reinventing Axl Rose. And hell, As The Eternal Cowboy while you're at it.

AIRIC 06-13-2006 10:31 PM

Did any of you guys see the update on their site about a live record? August 22nd. I'm pretty pumped for this, hopefully they have a good set.

Angry Balled Fists! 06-13-2006 11:32 PM

Yeah, i noticed it too.

I think it'll be really good, hopefuly they'll throw in some oldies.

good rats 06-13-2006 11:56 PM

Yea I knew about the live recording a while ago. I can't wait

Angry Balled Fists! 06-14-2006 04:49 AM

It won't beat the live dvd though, seeing them live is so much better than hearing them live i bet.

Henrik 06-14-2006 06:04 AM

I hope they'll play Ya'll don't wanna step to dis.. I've never heard it live and it's my favourite song from Crime.

@Deconstruction: If you want to hear something that reminds the most about Crime then get Reinventing Axl Rose. If you wanna hear a more clean Punkrock sound, then go for As the eternal cowboy. Both are awesome.

good rats 06-14-2006 06:11 AM

I doubt Ya'll Don't wanna step to dis would be on the live album...but it would be so good if it was.

I got the Disco Before the Breakdown on record the other day. I've had it on my computer for ages, but now I actually own a copy.

Henrik 06-14-2006 06:15 AM

Yeah they probably won't be playing stuff from before RAR, and if they do it will be Impact of What We Worked For.

Iron Bug 06-14-2006 07:28 AM

They played Shit Stroll Impact and Disco Before The Breakdown when I saw them (seperate occations mind you). I know Disco is after RAR, but I know that they rarely play it.

AIRIC 06-14-2006 07:40 AM

What We Worked For is one of my new favorite songs. That song is amazing.

Liebensaft 06-14-2006 07:44 AM

That's always been my favorite AM! song.

nitzguy 06-14-2006 08:23 AM

the lyrics are what does it for me in that song

Henrik 06-14-2006 08:51 AM

Yep the lyrics are good, but Tom doesn't show his awesome vocals in the that song.

Fisticuff111 06-14-2006 10:14 AM

'Y'all Don't Wanna...' is my 2nd favorite AM! song, but I'm pretty sure they haven't played it live since it was just Tom/Kevin.

SantaDuJuan 06-14-2006 10:46 AM

I have the acoustic ep...which has 7 songs off of Reinventing Axl i think...But I will probably get As the eternal Cowboy.

Theramed 06-14-2006 11:42 AM

i have a similarish question. to ^^^^

Someone showed me some new against me a while ago and i didnt really get into it, but i gave them another try and downloaded the acoustic ep thing which blew me away, could someone tell me what other releases they have that are similar to the acoustic ep? thanks. sorry if its a newbish question but at least in here you guys would know what your talking about.

Liebensaft 06-14-2006 12:17 PM

Try downloading the "Crime..." EP. It's not acoustic, but it's great.

Angry Balled Fists! 06-14-2006 01:25 PM

I love the beggining of the Stolen Demo version of Holy ****, "Oh Good God" it says on my version.

IT ISN'T ANY DIFFERENT IT'S THE SAME OLD **** IT GOES!

Brain Toad 06-14-2006 03:12 PM

Holy **** was the best song on SFAFC

Angry Balled Fists! 06-15-2006 02:18 AM

Hmm, i prefer Joy and maybe a few others, How Low is probably my favourite.
Holy S'hit is definetley one of the best though.

Unsubstantiated Rumous Acoustic is so much better then the electric version.

good rats 06-15-2006 03:25 AM

Yea I agree. The electric version IS good though, it just doesn't have the same feel.

I love the Live at WKDU version of Unsubstantiated Rumours..

Angry Balled Fists! 06-15-2006 03:41 AM

Hmm i don't have that.
The electric version is growing on me a it, but it sounds so different.
Like when it changes in the orginial when it goes "and if, if roofs turn to sky, held by the gravity of nothing, An ironic and literal making of a bed"

the chords change and it sounds like the bridge, but in the electric version, the chords basically sound like it sounds the same.

Against Me! - Live In London. It has a sampler of Pints of Guinness, plus the album art looks amazing.

I wish they did it at the show i went to, it's gonna be from the Mean Fiddler show. Joe might have went there, i can't remember.

good rats 06-15-2006 05:49 AM

Im so excited about this Live Album!

The sampler sounds really good.

Deconstruction 06-15-2006 10:55 AM

I just got The Acoustic e.p, and The Disco Before the Breakdown(red vinyl).

Liebensaft 06-15-2006 11:48 AM

I was supposed to be at that show.

coheneran 06-15-2006 11:53 AM

I am sitting here, listening to RAR, with the lyrics in front of me, screaming along. It's FUN!

"Lives and cultures matter more than capitalist interest.
It's the FBI; it's the CIA; it's the ATM, the IMF, NBC, CBS. **** you"

good rats 06-15-2006 07:49 PM

Do you mean the Disco Before the Breakdown?

Iron Bug 06-15-2006 07:51 PM

Man, if he did that is funny.

Deconstruction 06-15-2006 07:51 PM
Do you mean the Disco Before the Breakdown?
lynch_me 06-15-2006 09:41 PM
I can't believe people are actually excited for a live album.
I was thinking the same thing.

I suggest you guys buy We're Never Going Home. It's like a live CD only with video as well, and it's probably only $10 more dollars.

viva la revolucion 06-15-2006 11:20 PM

the sound quality on the live album is much better than on the dvd.

Henrik 06-16-2006 05:17 AM

How would you know?
