Cheers mate.

I was under the impression Snake eyes was a rare Bon Scott track. Was this never produced on an album then?

AC/DC is alright by me, but saying that they're the best is stretching it, in my opinion. Angus has some alright solos, but I've found Hendrix, Page, Hammett, and numerous others to be leagues ahead of Angus. Best solos ever is pushing it, in my opinion.
yea i completely agree witht that .........check out my new thread.....AC/DC is the best rock band..........
Again, it's pushing it. You have Hendrix and Zep to look over, and AC/DC gets repetitive to me.
I like AC/DC well enough, especially "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", but I don't consider them to be the all time greatest. There's simply too much to really go into before reaching a conclusion such as that.
But "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" is very catchy to me.

It was recorded during the Blow Up Your Video sessions, and its on some Heatseeker singles.

rippa32 06-28-2005 05:39 PM
God knows.

Might have been somebody helping out with the recording? The recording is really shabby, but I think that adds to the feel of the song. Really love the intro.

Keep the rare songs coming!
Yeah it used to always sound shabby, then Mutt Lange came in and made it sound professional.

AB/CD 06-28-2005 06:13 PM

thank god for the internet like rare songs heard msot like but hey

rippa32 06-28-2005 06:17 PM

Welfare is a heaps good song, kinda strange hearing Bon sing stuff like that.

Brewer14 06-28-2005 06:38 PM

If anyone has the song "Messin with the Kid", Id really appreciate it if you could upload it. Ive been looking for it for awhile.

rippa32 06-28-2005 06:44 PM

Brewer14 06-28-2005 09:27 PM
Whos singer on that one?
rippa32 06-28-2005 09:38 PM

Brewer14 06-28-2005 09:39 PM
Ok. Do you have the tracks Dave Evans sang on?
No, I wish though. Ill see if I can find any on Kazaa.

rippa32 06-28-2005 09:48 PM

It would be great to hear him, Id love to own the actual vinyl record too, that would be worth so much.
It would be great to hear him, Id love to own the actual vinyl record too, that would be worth so much.
What songs did he record? I know he did Can I Sit Next to You Girl, wasnt there another one?

rippa32 06-28-2005 10:02 PM

Yes the B-Side was Rockin in the Parlour. I like Can I sit Next to You Girl but I only have Bon's version.

Bon_Scottie 06-29-2005 02:23 PM

Don't forget to keep uploading Brewer, its great to hear these rarities.

Did Dave Evans record many songs then? Or just those two?

Brewer14 06-29-2005 02:54 PM

Crabsody in Blue (note- Aussies have heard this most likely, its on Let There Be Rock but wasnt released in America :upset: )

barnz1986 06-29-2005 03:18 PM
Not only that, but Angus and Malcolm's tones are instantly recognizable.

Case in point- Id never heard Live Wire before, yet as soon as I heard the opening bass line, and the guitar kick in, I knew it was AC/DC. They've got one of the most recognizable sounds out there.
true. but the vocals are more recognizable i think

Just those two, he was then replaced for the night once cause he didnt show up. Bon sang from then on, he was too glam rock anyway.

The Mercenary highvoltage 06-30-2005 09:30 AM

Best rock n roll band there is and Angus is one fo the greatest guitar players and theyr riffs may be simple but the solo's are **** hard( I can see because some people find it to hard to post the solo of live wire complete.) But still wish i could one day paly better then him but that day will never come :P But i'll still enjoy it always enjoied it and all of there songs are great . Some fans say that flick of the switch and Fly on the wall or not so great but to me they're just anohter 2 great albums full of Good old ROck n roll

Hardrockguitardude15 06-30-2005 10:05 AM

AC/DC aren't as talented as many bands but there still good. But if it weren't for AC/DC i probably wouldn't have started playing the guitar or listening to rock music at all. They just rock.

I was pretty surprised when I read that, but I wouldnt doubt it.Although I cant imagine anyone besides Bon singing any of those songs. Hes an underrated songwriter also.

Bon_Scottie 07-01-2005 04:38 PM

Once again, thanks for the rares.

Have you got Fling thing/Rocker audio file? Its awesome on Family Jewels, and I've wanted it ever since I saw that video. Just, blew me away...

Bon is a superb lyricist. I think they defined that rock and roll era. Great loss to the music industry.

On Flick Of The Swich he uses a Steinburger sp?, and on the rest I think he uses a standard Fender bass.

BludgeonySteve 07-01-2005 07:49 PM

Can anyone actually hear the bass on any of their songs?

On that site it said that Brain Shake was an unrealeased single, but I got on the Flick Of The Switch CD, it also says that Rock N Roll Singer wasn't realased but I got it with High Voltage, maybe I'm misreading it though. :)
