IMO the whole of RIP is great, it got delivered today which was good considering i only ordered it on wednesday or thursday. its the remastered one, with the bonus tracks, inc. the demos of holy wars, take no prisoners and rust in peace

On every Megadeth page I've ever been too people constatly praise Marty Friedman. Now don't get me wrong, Marty is very good at constructing very good and very musical solos, but I just think that poland is the ****. Check out his main solo in "Rattlehead" on KIMB, especially over the D G# C D G# chord progression. Discuss...

Yes, he is my fav 'deth guitar player and still after so many years he shows that he's as good (or even better) as before on TSHF. His new solos are great.

I'm listening to "Almost Honest" now, it's true that this isn't as heavy as some of the early Megadeth stuff, but lyrically and musically, it's superb.

Is of mice and men a very early megadeth song or a recent one? I think the guitar chords are used in such an awesome way!

It's not my favourite Megadeth album in terms of rockin' tunes, I'd probbably say that R.I.P or Peace Sells..was.

its ok, its the first megadeth album i heard all the way through - i dont actually own it, i borrowed it. its not "thrashy" as RIP, IMO best song on it is victory or addicted to chaos

Well, I've heard the first 3 songs, and I like them all.
The first song has a really nice riff in my opinion, a bit repetative but it's cool all the same, and does some funky changes.

The second song is pretty mad, I can definately say I like it already.

Victory is easily the best song on Youthanasia, followed by A Tout Le Monde.

Addicted is about, IIRC, a person who you loved who guided you through everything leaving. Youth is about corruption in the government, and I can't remember what Train is about.

Nope, I've downloaded it though. 99 Ways to Die is one of Deth's greatest songs.

i personally think that peace sells is their best work. every song is great in my opinion, with i ain't superstious being the only weak point. plus it has wake up dead and bad omen, which to me, are megadeth's two best "show off" songs.

Heh, yeah, despite being a kickass song, Wake Up Dead cannot disguse itself from being obvious guitar wank :)

My Last Words is prolly my favorite off of Peace Sells

Peace Sells is a great album. My favorite song on there is The Conjuring. I really like the tapping intro.
