My immune system is immune to the swine flu vaccinations, therefore making me immune to diplomatic immunity.

motogrifo 08-31-2009 06:09 PM

I used to have diplomatic immunity in Venezuela, but I was too young to use it properly =(

Left Face Down 08-31-2009 08:09 PM
so guys when are you getting your swine flu vaccines
Well the vaccine doesn't protect you against all strains, and I'm already immune to one or so I assume. My mother got it over the summer, I was of course in the same house and we didn't like hug or anything (she tried to keep me away), but basically i got a minor sore throat and my sinuses got a minor bit screwed up for 4 days and then I was fine.

My mother had a sore throat day one, day two sore throat and sinuses, and then 3-5 she pretty much stayed home from work, laid on the couch, coughed, runny nose, the works. Then she was fine...

It's those mutated strains you got to watch out for. Though I'm a firm believer that even if you get the vaccine there will be a strain out there for you, it just has to find you!

With that said, my college (Lousiana State University) has like 300~ official cases, who knows how many aren't known about. Then they love giving me fun facts like it can last for up to 8 hours on door knobs, and people are most contagious the 24 hours PRIOR to showing signs that they are sick!

<3 that info

Aes820 08-31-2009 08:33 PM

The symptoms that we're experiencing here with h1n1 are far less sever than those with the common old influensa A and B.

mnemonic 09-01-2009 10:39 AM

Wednesdays are so long for me... two classes down (2 1/2 hours worth of class) and 3 to go (5 hours of class). Just goofing off in the EE computer lab while I wait for my next class. All this and I'm running on 3 1/2 hours of sleep.

Why can't bodies take like full counts of sleep? I got 8 hours of sleep Monday night, but Tuesday I felt a little tired at like 12:30 so I laid down to "take a nap." Then I woke up at like 5, so I mean that's like 4 1/2 hours right there. So if we add that to the 3 1/2-4 hours I got last night it makes 8-8 1/2 hours of sleep. Yet I'm like totally dead tired, zoned out right now.

At least my strangest teachers are in my last two classes. So hopefully I'll wake up, especially seeing my 3 hour night class is tonight. So while I don't foresee 100% brain activity by any means, maybe I can pull off 50%. You know, enough to hit on the hot girls in the class.

mnemonic 09-02-2009 12:28 PM

Sad But True 09-02-2009 12:40 PM

Lod, recommend me something to do while I re-amp all these tracks.

Also: Halp.

Done a nice drum mix in Fruity Loops, want to apply it to all the other drums tracks I've already got sequenced in FL. So I thinks yeah just export the midi and import it into this nice mix, which I do, and nothing happens. Halp.

Blue_Moon 09-02-2009 08:57 PM

computer downstairs jsut died the hard drive is bolloxed

sad day, 8 years of files and photos gone with one bill gates blue screen of death :(

The Transporter 09-03-2009 08:33 AM

1. try plugging it into another computer with a working harddrive to see if it will recognize it as a second drive (pull files off immediately)
2. try lightly droppping the harddrive on its edge, repeat step 1
3. try freezing it (make sure it's sealed tightly in a bag first), repeat step 1

Left Face Down 09-03-2009 09:06 PM

Bored, think you are a genius? Try this! what number multiplied against 4 gives you the inverse of that number? In picture form, noting that each different letter is a different number (which is a hint in it self):

abcde
x 4
------
edcba

Find a, b, c, d, and e... go!

Blue_Moon 09-03-2009 09:17 PM

my head is sore

Left Face Down 09-03-2009 09:32 PM

My teacher in my, "how to study" class (which I'm taking because it is an "easy A") gave us that problem yesterday. I was the only one in a class of about 50 to find the answer properly (I.E. didn't just guess every possible number). A group of two found the answer as well, in about five minutes of random guessing (which they admited to once the teacher asked them how to do it).

Now I have to deal with the fact of -- probably -- being the "smart" kid in my class. Which I haven't been since high school. I have to say, it in a class with about 50 students, 3/4 of which are women, I didn't mind getting bombarded with girls asking me to explain to them how in the world to do it. I'm use to calculus, that was fun compared to calculus.
