Incorrect. That is a 'lol' smiley.

Jom 12-05-2005 10:24 PM

Hi everyone.

Yes, the name I go by in real life, for the most part, is Jim. I get called lots of things, though, both good and bad. There's been a Jimbo, James, Jamie (?!), JR, and blah blah blah.

Reason why I have a different vowel: Superpeer gave it to me because I was going off on how everytime I see "Jim" on MX I automatically think it's me they're talking to, but nah, they're talking to DBJ. So, Superpeer gets the victory there. First, it was Little Jim, but then I have to say that I'm not exactly a little creature. Then it was Little Jom, and I had to reiterate that I'm not 4'11" and 80 pounds. Then, he dropped the adjective, and started addressing me as that on MX. The name stuck, and that's how Jom came about.

Plus, because the name stuck, there's no question as to who is addressing me.

MBS 12-05-2005 10:33 PM

Unless I change my name to Jom.

:shifty:

Kingofdudes 12-05-2005 10:41 PM

There are too many Aarons on here. I need to change a random letter in my name.

Zaron? Laron?

Jom 12-05-2005 10:44 PM

Erin :-*

Kingofdudes 12-05-2005 10:46 PM

:( I hate women, they ruined a perfectly good name with that spelling.

Dr. Jake Destructo 12-05-2005 10:48 PM

Someone has to be Quarron, just because that's the coolest name ever, and it would give one a very extra-terristrial-esque e-persona. :p

So, I'm currently addicted to Icewind Dale II. Anyone else played the game?

Today was the first day of Beauty and the Beast tryouts. For my little singing test, I sang Bike by Pink Floyd. Sadly, the judges/directors laughed at me.

EDIT: I know a guy who goes by the spelling of Eron. I'd say it's the coolest way to spell the name.

NP: Pr0n Peices or the Scars of Cold Kisses - Ulver

Huber 12-05-2005 10:49 PM

I didn't think anyone could have the same name as me, but there was a guy at my school last year with the same name as me.

MBS 12-05-2005 10:50 PM
:( I hate women, they ruined a perfectly good name with that spelling.
Do people misspell your name in numerous ways, also? I've gotten:

Aron
Erin
Arron
Aarron

It's not that hard to spell, honestly...

Auron would be badass.

Dr. Jake Destructo 12-05-2005 10:58 PM

Hey Liberi, since you're around, could you change my avatar to this?

Riva granted me a larger avatar for winning RMOTM, but since he's not around, could you do me that favor? I made sure it's 100x100, so no worries. :)

Auron really would be a badass name, Aaron(s).
I don't suppose you're secretly a great fan of theirs? Or is that the only song you know by them?
Sorry to disappoint, but that's the only song I know of theirs, obviously because of The Sopranos. It's a great song though, but I don't know any material they've released here, and if any of their other songs are as badass as WUTM, I'd love them. Do you know where to start?

Erin's actually the name for Ireland in Gaelic, I imagine that's where that comes from.

Dr. Jake Destructo 12-05-2005 11:17 PM

That makes sense. I knew Erin was a very Irish name, but I didn't know it was the actual name of the country. :p What a font of knowledge you are, Lucas.

Sigur Ros' vocalist also sings in a non-language too, a lot of the time. Which makes her a thief.

Well I love them, though I don't know if they have any other songs as good as Woke Up.., because it's just great. It's on their debut album (Exile on Coldharbour Lane), which is also probably their best album. Most consistent, at least. You might have trouble finding a decent copy of it in the US though; apparently one of the good tracks - Mao Tse Tsung Said - is removed from the US version because you're still terrified of commies over there.

EDIT: Just thought; the version of Woke Up This Morning on Exile.. is the full version - which is probably my favourite of the two versions I know - but the Sopranos version which might well be the one you're familiar with is the "Chosen One mix", which comes as a bonus track on their second album, La Peste. Which I don't like quite so much overall.

I can make a list of songs for you to check out, before deciding if you want to buy anything, anyway. If you like, I mean.
