Wow, thats a lot of cd's. Do you have all the CoB albums? |
Nobody's answered my question yet :(
On the Passage to the Reaper guitar lesson video, what song do they play at about 11;23 in? That rhythm riff owns |
I also used to buy several CDs a week...

I wont live once i get a car....
Yeah, me too. always tell them I can never have too many CDs and then try and explain how long it's been since I last boguht one. When I get a car I'll never be home.
Nobody's answered my question yet :( On the Passage to the Reaper guitar lesson video, what song do they play at about 11;23 in? Everyone head over to it and post to boost my morale. http://www.musicianforums.com/sputnik/album.php?albumid=875 |
Death to pop-punk, I'll check out your review in a few min.

Yeah, I don't like it as much as the others but it is still great. |
Thanks for the cool comments guys. I know most people prefer their newer stuff, but I love Something Wild. First Bodom album I ever had.
|
I was beginning to be fonder of Hatebreeder than Follow the Reaper when I first got it; I couldn't stop listening to it...it was just so good. But I put Follow the Reaper in the other day and listened to the entire album and it reminded me that it was my favorite.
I got a scare though; at the end of Everytime I Die and the beginning of Mask of Sanity the CD was skipping really bad. Really skipping. I freaked out and put the head cleaner in, but it didn't help much. So, yeah. it sucks. I was able to clean the CD a bit, and it only skips a little, but I still have to fast forward to when it doesn't skip anymore. Grr. |
Get one of those disc cleaners that takes a scratches off the cd. What it does is it takes a whole layer off the disc since there arent any marks on the lower layers
|

Oh, will that stop the skipping? |
I have a Skip DR. It works pretty well. It doesn't really make the disc look any cleaner but it stops the skipping pretty nicely. If you're cleaning it by hand than make sure to use water on the disc and wipe it outward from the center.

Yes to both above posts

I agree, but some songs on there like "the nail" and "in the shadows" are ****ing brilliant. Jaska drums to "deathmealish" on it lol. |
DTPP, excellent review...you just screwed up the part where you wanted to italicize. Otherwise, it was spot on.
I actually listened to some Bodom for the first time in 3 months today...it confirmed my love of the song Bodom After Midnight. 2nd favorite song off of FTR. |
Whats your first

Thanks for the compliments. It usually means a little more coming from people who truly love the band. I'll fix the italic error and I should have a Follow the Reaper review up later today. |
^ Sweetness.
I am currently working on...a Creed review. :p Creed's a shameless pleasure of mine...first band i ever really got into, and they are a lot more talented than most people give them credit for. |
Yeah, you're right. They listen to Racer X and Steve Vai
OMG suprises everywhere!
Yeah! what really surprised me was them liking Andrew W.K., She is Beautiful seems like a very unlikely song for a death metal band to cover lol |
I like AWK.
|

Children of Bodom are not death metal. They are Power metal with Harsh Vocals. And their cover of She Is Beatiful is my favoured song by them. |
Whats your favored original song?
|
They are Power metal with Harsh Vocals.
I've always wondered...do we really have to use the "with harsh vocals"? Can't we just say power metal? It sounds so stupid and cheesey when someone says they have "harsh vocals". Maybe even aggressive or extreme power metal...I don't know, the "with harsh vocals" is just an odd annoyance of mine. |

People tend to link the vocals with Death Metal. It's the jarring difference between COB and conventional Power Metal so it is usually necessary to point it out. It also enlightens people to the fact that despite having harsh vocals, COB are, in actual fact, a power metal band. |

Although Follow the Reaper is my favourite album, Something Wild's awesome as well. Touched Like ANgel of Death rocks..i love the bells :D |

Same lol, great positive music, I had actually never even heard of them before I heard She is Beautiful. |
I like AWK.
He makes happy, happy music with completely drunk vocals. :p |

Andrew W.K. is awesome though. He is one of my biggest idols in life. |
