God I hope so man..that creeps me out
your email is brittonmadcap@yahoo.com right? |
Yep! that's the one
|
I think it spruces it up a wee bit...I'll ask in report problems.
I know what that album looks like, but you can't really tell since it's so small, I wouldn't worry about it until a mod gave me a warning. But that's just what I would do, so do as you please I don't want people to be banned because of ill advise.
Yep! that's the one
So you recieved it? |
It should be fine...but if they warn you change it
|
Noob question, what changes when you are a member and how do you become one?
|
You just sign up. Then you are aloud to post
|
So... does any thing change?
|
No but you can post
when you are not a member all you can do is read |
What the hell are you talking about?!?!?!?!? This is a Slayer forum not wine like a little bitch forum!!!
Anyway who's solo's does everyone prefer Kerry's or Jeff's? Personally I think Jeff's are much better. And is it just me or can you hardly hear Kerry's guitar in war at the warfield? |
Kerrys but I not a big fan of Slayers solos.
|
Kerrys but I not a big fan of Slayers solos.
I think it's mostly Kerry's solo's that ruin the songs all he does is play really fast scales down all the strings with one exception the solo in War Ensemble that's my 3rd favourite Slayer solo behind Jeff's Seasons in the Abyss one and Kerry/Jeff's dual in Angel of Death. |
Does anyone think the solos in Disciple and God Send Death sound way too similar. Especially seeing as they're consecutive songs on GHUA. But other than that they are both awesome songs.

Wrong. Kerry is the more melodic solo player, while Jeff just hits random frets. Which is why it makes no difference when they play it live, when Jeff just plays the scale really fast. Apart from in songs with slower solos like Dead Skin Mask, Jeff hardly ever plays the solos live like they are on CD, he just plays a scale or two. |
I prefer Jeffs solo's
But for no particuler reason |

I totally think you have it the other way around. Listen to the second solo in The Antichrist or the first solo in Dittohead (though Kerry King wrote all the riffs and solos to Dittohead). And what are you talking about Jeff hardly playing solos live, when I saw Slayer, they both traded off and played just about an equal amount depending on how many solos were in the song. |
Who would you say has the biggest say in what goes on
in the band? |
Who would you say has the biggest say in what goes on

They each have different thing to them, Jeff does many more solos when Kerry does Fill in solos, like south of heaven, its "techniqually" a solo but It's more of a fill in. But Kerry does not measure up to Jeff...at all. Kerry lays on the whammy bar to much, I'm not saying it's stupid but a lot of times he does it's not needed.

No, Tom writes many songs. In still reigning Jeff says how sick Tom's his lyrics are. There a band they have a equal say. If one had more control then the other it wouldnt be a band. Who likes the new name! Come on let's keep this thread a live |
I like the new name. I remember Tom saying that Slayer is deomcratic when it comes to material and songs, that they won't do a song till they all agree on it, and then make changes and such till all can agree. But then again, I remember Tom saying that when Jeff wrote Bloodline, he basically told Tom how he wanted it to sound and told Tom how to sing the song.
|
I prefer Hannemans solos but I really like Kerry's too. I just find Hannemans solos more technically interesting and alot less chaotic and random than Kerry's.

Araya started writing lyrics on South of Heaven, such as South of Heaven, Silent Scream, and Live Undead.
|
I need to get south of heaven.
I love the new name |

Oh yeah, I know tom writes (like the lyrics to war ensemble) but kerry writes far more than tom. I remember reading that all the songs about blood and fantasy horror etc. are written by Kerry and stuff about war and politics are by either tom or jeff. |

Tom also seems to be interested in murders/murderers. Songs like 213, Silent Scream, or Serenity in Murder. |

Yeah, the sight of him covered in blood during the still reigning shows (at least from what I've seen on Uranium) kinda gave me that impression. |

Tom is a pretty crazy looking guy.
I was kinda freaked out but absolutely loved his high pitched scream the first time I heard Angel of Death. |
