I shall go and vote for Cyndi Lauper. I played my best ever game of basketball today. How was everyone else's Friday?

br3ad_man 11-12-2004 06:24 AM

Crap, I've got 689 rep points. Not bad.

I'm in the middle of some Music Technology homework, researching the Great American Songbook. Took me a while to get around the fact that it's never referred to in that way academically.

Tapeworm 11-12-2004 08:48 AM

I had a great day. Played Halo and drank beer, and then went to work. Praise me, for I am the crazy guy* who drinks during the day.

*alcoholic.

The Ashtray Girl 11-12-2004 10:40 AM

Lookit me, I got my name all capitalised!

But yay, it's Friday, and in 2 and a half hours I'm going to a pirate party! Avast!

Iai 11-12-2004 10:53 AM

Am I the only one who actually got a good, capitalized name to begin with, and who has only one account?

Nope. I'm also a member of this prestigious club.

"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Tapeworm again."

"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Master Arkam Kannon again."

"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Iai again."

I'm in a cheerful, giving mood today.

sweboy 11-12-2004 02:52 PM

Can anyone think of a song that fills the following criterias?

1. Everyone knows it.
2. It's rockin, pretty hard.
3. It includes both guitars and piano/keyboard.

Led Zeppelin - Trampled Underfoot

Master Arkam Kannon 11-12-2004 03:04 PM

I did too,

EDIT: You check reps by either going to your user CP, or clicking on your own 'rep' button.

Don't know it.
Led Zeppelin - Trampled Underfoot
Don't know it.

I'm talking about songs that everyone and his grandmother knows.

Tangy zizzle 11-12-2004 03:06 PM

Bohemian Rhapsody

Most headbangable song ever.

Iai 11-12-2004 03:07 PM

Anyone who's ever tuned into a Classic Rock station knows Trampled Underfoot.

Ah, well.

Yngwie Malmsteem's version of Beethoven's 5th.

YDload 11-12-2004 03:07 PM

Andrew W.K.- Party Hard

Iai 11-12-2004 03:08 PM

The advantage of Led Zeppelin is that I have the complete sheet music, for every instrument, for every Led Zeppelin song ever. I could just e-mail it to you, save any problems playing it.

Tangy zizzle 11-12-2004 03:10 PM

Can you play every song?

Iris 11-12-2004 03:11 PM
Bohemian Rhapsody

Most headbangable song ever.
"Fat Bottomed Girls", also a kickin' Queen tune.

Tangy zizzle 11-12-2004 03:11 PM

I can only play Babe I'm Gonna Leav You. That is the only song of theirs that I wish to play as well. I will never attempt another Led Zeppelin song ever.

YDload 11-12-2004 03:14 PM

Tangy, learn to play "Black Dog." I can play it on bass (since it's pretty much the same as the guitar for the famous riffs) and it's a load of fun. And if you know your blues scales you can figure out "Moby Dick" and "Heartbreaker" with ease.

Tangy zizzle 11-12-2004 03:16 PM

I could play those songs in my sleep, dude.

Just don't wanna play 'em.

Does your grandmother know that song?
