I dont trust creative anymore, piece of crap company. I bought my soundcard from them, and it doesn't get along with winamp, and has a history of not getting along with winamp. If I don't turn on my computer a certain way (which is turning the internet on at the exact moment, dont ask why this works, but it does) my soundcard wont play sounds on my winamp. It's **** crazy.

There are various types of DSL too, my friend has this real crappy kind that's a lot slower than cable.
