Can't deny the truth.

mr_jackalope 09-16-2006 07:31 PM

Now playing: The Clientele - Strange Geometry

So freaking awesome. I'm taking a break today from reviewing new CDs and am just sticking with stuff I know I love. It's definitely a nice change of pace.

Zebra 09-16-2006 08:00 PM

Built to Spill - Perfect From Now One

This is great stuff but it tends to drag. Tracks 2 and 4 are my favorites but this is definitely not a classic.

mr_jackalope 09-16-2006 08:17 PM

I'm on to Sparklehorse's Good Morning Spider for about the 5th time this week. It just makes sense right now.

Hedgedive 09-17-2006 11:41 AM

The Mars Volta - Amputechture
John Frusciante - Shadows Collide With People

JonM 09-17-2006 12:31 PM

The Who and Da Backwudz.

Zappa 09-17-2006 12:55 PM

M.SORD - Rick McMann

Genius.

Robert Crumb 09-17-2006 01:13 PM

More random stuff, Beefheart's Ice Cream for Crow right now. Working on a theme show for radio. Gonna make a thread about it.

asdf 09-17-2006 01:22 PM

Foxy Shazam! - The Flamingo Trigger
I just saw them in concert last night, and it was quite awesome.

Now:
Machine and the Synergetic Nuts - Leap Second Neutral

Good stuff.

Chapterhouse - Whirlpool

Today I just felt like bringing out my favorite shoegaze albums. Awesome stuff.

Anxious 09-17-2006 10:03 PM

I remember I got a Catherine Wheel album once and it sounds like crappy grunge shit from the 90's. The other albums you have there are awesome though.

Soundgarden - A-sides

BLOW UP! THE OUTSIDE WORRLLLDD!

MnoJ 09-18-2006 07:49 AM

I've really been digging MF Grimm in the last 24 hours. Hip hop's first triple album is a doozie.
