$3000? Thats a huge waste of money. I would much rather buy a higher end Gibson or Jackson for that price.
Yes, it was an outrageous price for a mediocre instrument. It's obviously $2500 for Alexi's name alone. I couldn't believe they would charge so much for an axe with one passive pickup in the bridge position. That thing would get terrible cleans. Maybe if I was a big enough fanboy I would buy it and put it behind glass or something, but I couldn't imagine playing it. For that amount I'd go to Jackson and have an RR custom made to look exactly like his old guitar, which was pure sex. |

Jackson. Why the hell would you want a Gibson for metal? |

Why the hell would you want a Gibson for metal?
I play alot of rock also. |

Gah, this makes me sick. I'm such a Jackson fanboy. :p |

My first guitar was a Squire by Fender. What a piece of shit.

I played some Ibanezes at Guitar Center that were in the same price range as my Jackson and I coudn't believe how poor they were. Ugly appearence, weak sound, and it felt like I was holding some cheap starter guitar. |
I like my Ibanez, but I like Jackson better. I regret getting the Ibanez now...
|
If you like it then you should have no reason to regret it. Unless you like it but you like the Jackson a whole lot more.

Why the hell would you want a Gibson for metal?
My Gibson is seriously perfect for metal.
someones jealous methinks
Listen to some real drumming and then you'll understand.
We haven't been together in so long! I miss you, my life is so lonesome. :( I'm so sorry about Blessed, I feel stupid for promising it and not delivering. I've just...had a lot to do lately, I'm sure you know what that's like. I haven't been able to completely finish a tab even for myself in a long time.
Ah, it's fine man. I definitely know how you feel at the moment. I can't even enjoy anything it seems anymore. |

I've felt that way since Christmas. :( It's a really awful feeling. Lately it's only just started to look up because the doctor doubled my mds a couple days ago. On another note, I just downloaded Beyond the Veil by Tristania. This is really good gothic metal. |
I don't know about the American models, but the Japanese version of his ESP sig converted to nearly $3000. Biggest waste of a guitar ever.
It's too bad he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and had to leave Jackson. My $800 DKMG probably beats the hell out of his signature guitar, although signature models are never as good as the one the one they're copying.
i agree with you. you pay only for the name. in summer, when i will play much more guitar in the next half year, i want to buy a Jackson DXMG. right now i play on an Ibanez GSA60 :( Which Jackson model was exactly the old wildchild-guitar? RR? i wanna have the exact model with the yellow straps :D (someday) |

I feel pretty much empty and dead inside...I have for a long time....I don't feel "down" or "depressed" that much... It's just more of a subliminal feeling and it comes to the suface sometimes. |
yesterday evening/night i felt depressed... now i feel a little bit down... i have to concentrate more on guitar, than on my feelings. this helps

Alexi looks like he's concentrating on that solo but what the hell is Henkka doing behind him...:naughty: |
ok thats weird mitch,perv.
|
I would die for that guitar Alexi used in the Reap 'n Roll licks video... that thing was so sweet. Honestly though, too many people don't realize they can have a $400 guitar, then with a nice trem adjustment and changing the pickups can make it seem like a $1000 guitar. I really wish I could change the absolutely horrible pickups on my Jackson Warrior. People are going out and paying way too much to have guitars like Alexi. The way I see it, if you want to be like Alexi then go out and buy the cheapest Jackson RR with a floyd Rose trem and 24 frets, then change the trem pickup to an EMG-Hz. Those are the cheaper EMG pick-ups too.

Yer, what he said^^
I have a pic of Alexi playing that RR with green pinstripe, it's fukkin gorgeous. |

Definately. I'm looking for one like it on Ebay even though I can't afford it anyway. Now that I have a Bodom obsession, I don't think any other guitar looks good for metal. Well, apart from BCRich, explorers etc, but my purple RG just won't do.

Yeah, I know that feeling. My Kirk Hammett signature almost makes me sick sometimes looking at it. The only thing I still think looks good on it are the spider and skull & crossbone inlays. I think the greatest guitar in the world would be that green pin strip RR if it had those Scythe inlays like Alexi's ESP. That would be sick. |
I never understood why Alexi used lower end EMG's. I looooooove the sound of my active pickups.
Which Jackson model was exactly the old wildchild-guitar? RR? i wanna have the exact model with the yellow straps :D (someday)
It was an RR, probably a custom. The modern RR5's look almost identical to it though, and I'd love to get one if I ever have the money. |
Yeah, the problem is that I can't find any cures to it that are normal and safe. Abusing the hell out of medicine until i'm just not there is about it. |
I just realised, Lake Bodom modulates in 6 different keys.
Amin (intro and 1st verse) Emin (2nd verse and bit after) Gmin (chorus) Dmin (intro riff up a perfect 4th/interlude) F#min (guitar solo) Cmin (keyboard solo) and it still sounds good! |

I don't mean to get into your buisness but I know depression and everything like that sucks. Everyone gets some of it, but there are more and more people who are getting it really bad. Hell, I was on perscriptions because I couldn't sleep from it. As long as you have something to wake up for it is alright. Like me, things like music actually got me down. Life makes everything worse, but when I hear things like Bodom or anyone else who can play and make better music than I can percieve scares me to death. Only because I know then that I won't get to where I want. Don't worry about it because with all the drugs the FDA make and crap there will probably be strong and safe things to take. Hopefully they make something to trick those mall kids who complain about life into taking which makes them finally realize their life does not suck. People who have bad lives should have rights to beat the hell out of those damned annoying Hot Topic cry babies haha. (If anyone here is offended by this... Well... good haha!) |

I never liked that song as much as the other songs on that album for some reason... |

Don't worry about getting into my business, haha. I posted it in public here anyway. My depression is definitely getting bad, I get around 3 hours of sleep a night and then end up sick and drained. |

Sounds like you're getting worse. Have you been trying different meds? You might not have found the right stuff. The first pills I took did nothing, and my brother is on a combination of four drugs for his depression. |

None of my medication is actually directly related to depression because i'm not "depressed" according to some people. I just use painkillers, my allergy medicine, and sleeping pills to get rid of some of it. |
