Today I bought:

Pellwood RX7 Hotrods
14" Coated Ambassador
12" Coated Ambassador
12" Clear Ambassador

I also gave in my CV to the local music store, who is FINALLY looking for Saturday staff! :D:D:D

LoneStarDrummer 11-18-2005 11:35 AM

the only local music store where i live is a piece of junk. they mainly focus on school bad instruments. the guitar sections not bad for it's size, but the drum section sucks. everything has to be special ordered, meaning you have to wait about two weeks, pay the store's outrageous(sp) price, plus tax.

you can find stuff on the internet for about $100 cheaper if not more. i'd still like to work there, but they aren't ever hiring and the manager is never there to talk to.

What do you lot think of Lug Locks? Are they any good?

Jezen 11-18-2005 02:52 PM

I say they are really, really stupid. I mean really. I thought, "Hmm...I suppose they could keep your drums in tune"

But it's not the tension rods that de-tune the drum, it's the fact that the heads wear out and lose tension.

The worst part was when I read the description: "LuG LoCkErZ!!! These little babies are here to stop those pesky tension rods from flyin' outta your drums!"

I mean really...Really....WtF MaTe!?

I have a question.
In our school we've got not one, but two Bible clubs.
Now, I'm fine with that.
But we're not allowed to establish a Gay/Straight Alliance club, or any clubs related to Communism/Anarchism/Socialism.
Do you all think thats fair?

spike9908 11-18-2005 03:07 PM

^no, complain to some public officials/state govern.

Why not combine them into the Homo-commie club? I'm sure the members would be rushing in.

Janeway 11-18-2005 03:42 PM

Hardy har.
We presented presented that as a joke, anyways.
There are a decent amount of students interested in those types of clubs, atleast enough to make it worth while, but it's more the fact that they can have clubs dedicated to something equally as controversial and we can't.

Janeway 11-18-2005 03:49 PM

Completely unrelated-
It's snowing out.

My request for the highly controversial "Pantsless Nazi Clowns with Guns Club" was also denied, it's an unfair world we live in.

Double Bass Jim 11-18-2005 04:02 PM
He was featured in a Guitar magazine of mine once. Never heard him play (Blues?)
Yea he's kind of a jimi hendrix type, although he's a far better player. He's much cleaner, better vibrato and bends ect ect... People always say he's a rip off but it's not true he's a great player all around.

Brokensticks 11-18-2005 06:19 PM

You forgot to mention what concert!?

poppinfresh 11-18-2005 06:21 PM

i went to the coffee shop. I asked for the thing with the most sugar in it. I asked them to fill half of it with caramel. My friend got the same thing. That night we flew throught he streets cawing(like a crow) at cars and flying around them. WE eventually fell onto the sidewalk and layed there for half an hour because we couldnt breathe very well. Then we walked home.

FockerTheLopper 11-18-2005 06:23 PM

My band teacher is a duece. Today were playing a song he made in jazz band and I need to play straight eigths for one part. I'm playing it then we switch to the bridge then we switch back and I do the eigths again. All of a sudden I see I'm a little behind so I catch up with him. Then I slow down again, now he starts clapping, and then he eventually comes up to me and claps, in front of me and I end up not being able to keep up with the tempo. I know he was speeding up because I the first time we played it I was comfortable playing at that tempo and at the second time I couldn't keep up. Then he goes its bad when a drummer doesn't have time. I should've flipped him off and walked out

Brokensticks 11-18-2005 06:23 PM

Sounds so fun!! To bad you didn't have a vido camera with you it'd be fun to watch.

poppinfresh 11-18-2005 06:33 PM

ok why do people not yell at their teachers. I dont see any problem with it, if my teachers make a mistake i point it out, if it affects me i go yell at them until its fixed. Everytime my friend has a problem with a teacher he pansies out and goes its ok just forget about it. WHY?>?>

Because I have 3 classes with him and he gets pissed easily and I don't want 2 failing grades averaging in to my report card instead of 2 99's

Janeway 11-18-2005 06:37 PM

You'll be a great husband/wife someday.

edit: To Poppinfresh

poppinfresh 11-18-2005 06:38 PM

if they let those problems affect their grading then they shoudn't be teachers, they are his mistakes you shouldnt suffer for them.

but i kind of understand where you are but im still kind of dissapointed in you for pansying out.
