Oh right haha. I've now read up on the terminology and more apt names are Vest, Singlet, or A-Shirt.
Tbh, I'd have called what you posted either a tanktop or vest.

Sunshine 05-28-2008 03:15 PM

When I hear 'vest' I either think

or

[For lack of a better picture].

The English language is dumb.

Janeway 05-28-2008 03:21 PM

The girly tank tops are technically camisoles...

I really f'd my neck up.

Waistcoat.

Undisco Kidd 05-28-2008 03:55 PM

Tank top seems to be the name for a 'wifebeater' here. Usually a wifebeater is small thin white or grey undershirt type thing without sleeves.

Sunshine 05-28-2008 03:58 PM

High visibility jacket wtf?
Bit of a mouthful, no?

Jezen 05-28-2008 04:00 PM

Shortened to HiVis Jacket.

Berk 05-28-2008 04:12 PM

I just picked the skin off of an old blister i had off the back of my foot. I swear to piece is like 3cm's long and prob a 1mm thick. Pwn.

SgtPrimus 05-28-2008 04:15 PM

Slap it on the grill?

Berk 05-28-2008 04:27 PM

sounds good

Janeway 05-28-2008 04:38 PM

It's weird that every time I hear anybody IRL attempt to explain American History X to someone who's never seen it, the two main points that are brought up are the curb scene and the buttrape scene...

And today, as I was explaining it to a friend, I did exactly the same thing...

 best post. rep'd

Retarded Chipple 05-28-2008 05:02 PM

I lol'd.

Sponer 05-28-2008 05:40 PM

So there's a "music" shop opening a few blocks down from me in a few days. I'm actually not sure yet if they're gonna have drums or not, but if they do that'll be sweet. Someone at school told me it's a "guitar" shop though, so that could really suck if they don't at least let me order drum stuff.

Walking distance > 2 hour drive (how long it takes me to the next closest music shop)

Berk 05-28-2008 05:47 PM

<3living close to a drum shop

they'll probly have at least a small selection of drum stuff.

They may not carry much stuff to try out but you'll be able to order stuff in.

Sponer 05-28-2008 06:02 PM

yea, i figure as long as they're a "music shop," I can order stuff I want. and if I become a regular, they might start stocking the sticks I use or something.

but my guitarist friend said it's a "guitar shop," so hopefully he was just being an average guitarist and ignoring the other instruments. :p

ace76543 05-28-2008 06:21 PM

yeah i ****ing hate guitarists sometimes

Little Android Man 05-28-2008 07:21 PM

Anyone have In Mourning's album?

It is absolute rape for their first album.

Harrow 05-28-2008 07:33 PM

I just got my Isis 10th anniversary 12 LP box set, should I ebay it or keep I wonder...

Sponer 05-28-2008 07:43 PM

What is it? Just all the Isis albums?

If you do decide to sell it, I'd wait. It'll probably be worth more later.

btw, the people in my town are dicks. That store I mentioned? Yea, it hasn't even opened yet. And in the paper today, three guitars were stolen. The owner was coming back to install a security system, and he found the guitars stolen.

ace76543 05-28-2008 07:45 PM

ahhahahaha oh wow

Harrow 05-28-2008 07:46 PM

Well it was released in January, but the distro I ordered it from ****ed up hardcore and I just barely got it today, and yeah it's all of their "official" releases I guess. It was like $275 and I've seen it sell on ebay for almost $400 a few times, but fees and shipping and all that crap blah...I hate ebay.

Berk 05-28-2008 08:44 PM

ugh, im watching john and kate plus 8. Jesus christ the 2 older kids are ****ing annoying. one of them was opening a present and she was like "OMG MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!1" for like 3 minutes. Then in a different episode, they were on an airplane and the kids were like yelling at the top of there lungs, on a ****ing airplane. I swear if i had a kid that did that, id ****ing bust there mouth up real good.

Berk 05-28-2008 08:58 PM

the kid had gum on his foot and the mom was like "NO ****ING WAY, WHY THE **** DO YOU HAVE GUM ON YOUR FOOT?!!!!!!" and then she threw the socks out.

NewMetman 05-28-2008 09:11 PM

Well, i very well may have met the most annoying person ever at a gig yesterday. He told me he thinks Taye produce crap drums, and he'd much rather have a DW instead, then carried on about how much better Trivium's drummer was than any other band:rolleyes:

Mr. Grill 05-28-2008 09:13 PM

so heres a picture from the last time i played a live show with my high school's jazz band.

Jezen 05-29-2008 06:13 AM

Haha I just text her and she does have a brother called Chris.
