Gosh, I wonder where Zach got that delightful avatar?

Kyle 10-12-2005 01:40 PM

I'm writing my personal statement for uni. It's really hard, trying to get it just right.

6Stringer 10-12-2005 01:46 PM

I took the PLAN test today which is supposed to tell me what scoring range I'll be in when I take my ACT. On the test were some dislike, indifferent and like questions and here are some of my personal favorites from the list.

I just found out my class has to go on a religious retreat on Friday, how fun . I go to a private school and we're required to go on it, if we skip we have to listen to a tape of the lectures given and write a paper on them.

I took the PSAT today, really easy and short. The PLAN was just plain homosexual and funny.

Glitterati 10-12-2005 05:36 PM

I just saw Flava Flav's new TV show.

Zappa 10-12-2005 05:44 PM

Just a few weeks ago I got an award for my PSAT scores (which were sent last year sometime). I scored in the top 3% in the nation or something.

I did well on the SAT, too, but not that well.

You have no idea how pissed off I would get if I was forced into doing something like that. Private/catholic schools are laaaame.

Most of the time, it's just awkward silences, punctuated by the occasionaly shout of "FLAVA FLAAAAAAAV"

What channel is it on?

Glitterati 10-12-2005 06:21 PM
What channel is it on?
I think VH1, but they're showing it on MuchMusic here. So you'd probably get it on MTV.

Daniel! 10-12-2005 06:22 PM

You guys aren't very dependable sources.

Don't listen to the mick.

Daniel! 10-12-2005 06:24 PM

I think I would rather listen to his avatar more than yours.

You couldn't have done worse than me

I got a 1100 on the SAT :(
You have no idea how pissed off I would get if I was forced into doing something like that. Private/catholic schools are laaaame.
Indeed they are. But they do offer a good education, even though I really dispise having to take a theology course every year in order to graduate.

BillCosby 10-12-2005 06:39 PM

I did pretty good on the PSAT sophomore year. I got in the 88th percentile, and I think it's compared against juniors so I was pretty proud about that.

I'm taking this year's PSAT on Saturday.

Well that's not too bad; my best pal got a 950 or something (the old SAT scoring that is) but got degree in English and finished in the top 5% of his class.

The new or old?

ZEROthirtythree 10-12-2005 06:42 PM

My 1100 was on the old SAT I think. It was years ago when I took it. :p

The NPC 10-12-2005 06:43 PM
The new or old?
I'm assuming it's an older version since she's what, 23 or something?

ZEROthirtythree 10-12-2005 06:43 PM

How did you know my age?

The NPC 10-12-2005 06:45 PM
How did you know my age?
You posted it in here some time ago, don't you remember?

ZEROthirtythree 10-12-2005 06:55 PM

Well I lied

I'm 11

The NPC 10-12-2005 06:56 PM

Ah to be a kid again, the good ol' days.

Zappa 10-12-2005 06:58 PM

11 was great.

The Great Decay 10-12-2005 07:02 PM

Could someone describe Tom Wait's sound? or recommend a song to check out.

The NPC 10-12-2005 07:03 PM

I was just a little NPC back then...oh how the years pass.

Glitterati 10-12-2005 07:04 PM
Could someone describe Tom Wait's sound? or recommend a song to check out.
Singer/songwriter stuff with a really rough voice. Get Rain Dogs or Bone Machine.
It'd be a tough choice, but I'd probably listen to Dylan with a pineapple in his eye for the sheer novelty value.
It's a parrot. He's a pirate :(

The Great Decay 10-12-2005 07:05 PM

I don't think Bob Dylan would make a good pirate.

Glitterati 10-12-2005 07:19 PM

I recently re-discovered my love for Alexisonfire. I haven't listened to these guys in like a year.

The Great Decay 10-12-2005 07:21 PM

Alexisonfire is good. Which do you prefer, Watch Out! or their S/T?
