seriously though, I woke at 4:30 this morning with a sneezing fit, so I think the sore throat is related to that.

Starts in Minnesota then east. dates in Minnesota, Wisconsin, NY, Vermont, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Hopefully we can scramble together another one or two in ohio and illinois but we'll see.

Also, giving away free download links to the Environment EP to anyone who wants it. The only catch is that you have to promise to share it with as many Sputnik members, bloggers and musicians as possible.

I don't like it as much as their earlier work though >_>
It's just two basses, but they do have real drums, which is cool for a change.

But the sound is more like we get drunk and jam out some monster riffs.
The ultra layered, hypnotizing Nadja is not to be found on that album, not saying its bad, but certainly not among their best.

Never heard of it. There are a couple places like that around here, like the Corpse Fortress, Vermont Hurler, and the Deathstar.

I'll check out Ricky and Joeys though.

I've never been to a doom show. Is it like a noise show where the band plays to a bunch of scraggly looking dudes who all just smoked a lot of pot and just sort of sway to the music? That's what I always imagined at least

Yeah, that's it mainly. :lol:
Although the crowd can be very diverse as I saw during the last doom festival I went too.

But most of the time it's really some people hiding beneath a thick curtain of weed smoke with teary, red and big eyes staring at you and having a good time.
