Wow!

It took these guys 5 days to fix my internet when it was just a problem with their software at their place...

I was going insane with no internet... :upset:
Hey, man. Welcome back to MX...hadn't seen you. :)

Silenius 01-24-2005 12:02 PM
Another exam done and over with.
Are you in school right now?

Cain 01-24-2005 12:03 PM
My mum, who he broke up with two weeks ago, slept with his best friend. So this guy who did it, Simon, attacked my Dad, and he kicked his face in.

:(
I'm very sorry to hear that. I've always wondered what it must be like to be a person in the middle of something like that...I'm really sorry, man. Of course, I feel bad too because of the lack of things I could say in response that would maybe make you feel any better.

Are there serious charges being pressed, or is he likely to get off?

BludgeonySteve 01-24-2005 12:03 PM
Thanks guys, it really makes a difference when people, even internet buddies, actually care.

:)
I'm really sorry to hear that. That just makes all of my problems seem stupid.

/me has to spread rep around before repping you again.

^Dream~Theater^ 01-24-2005 12:03 PM

Actually got home about 10 minutes ago.
Does anyone know type of metal Arcturnus(sp?) is?
Trying to find some new bands to burn a cd today.

BoboTheRagingHobo 01-24-2005 12:04 PM

Werd, I also probably invaded/missed what was going on with joe here...

Any one sum it up?

munky_magik 01-24-2005 12:05 PM

Here ya go Bobo.

^Dream~Theater^ 01-24-2005 12:06 PM

Most likely, I dont know the spelling of the actual band name. I think the band used to be on Bobo's avatar though.

BoboTheRagingHobo 01-24-2005 12:08 PM

Thanks.

Arcturus = avant-garde metal. Go check em' out now.

Arucard 01-24-2005 12:09 PM

Ill sum it up.
Ive had a very emo weekend.
My mum and dad split 3 weeks ago, and on saturday my mum slept with my dads best friend, Simon, after a VR concert she was taking my little brother too. My dad then proceeded to kick his head in on Sunday, and i got so incredibly drunk on Saturday night because of it i had to go to hospital.

But these guys have made me feel better. And yes he will get off lightly, because he is a very respected man with a good job and no criminal record. Plus, my Mum lied to the police saying that Simon was in intensive care, so she is screwed.

Avant-garde?

Cain 01-24-2005 12:10 PM

I'm a sucker for those crazy album covers, and Arcturus has seemed interesting in the past. What is meant by avant-garde? How are they distinguished from other types of metal?

BoboTheRagingHobo 01-24-2005 12:12 PM

Easy way of putting it, its music ahead of its time.

Seems like your Dad is a good guy and your mom screwed him over.

*This is just what I am assuming from what I have heard so far, if I am wrong correct me.

Arucard 01-24-2005 12:14 PM

Its the truth. I love my Dad very much, but my Mum is a total bitch. She tries to buy us off with my Dad's money.

Its ridiculous.

How are you handling all this stuff? Like is there a whole side-taking thing with you? It sounds like it's an incredibly difficult situation. The only point of reference I have is my dad's best friend, Jim: his wife and him divorced about a year ago, and the wife, Gail, is using the female-biased divorce court system in New York to constantly rape him financially and possession-wise--she's just taking him for everything he's worth and she won't stop. It's a level of insanity from her I never could have imagined knowing her previously. So we've kind of taken sides against her, despite having been friends with her for years. It's a very painful situation just for me, since I've known and loved the both of them since early childhood, but I know it doesn't approach what you're going through.

EDIT: post above mine answered. I'm really sorry, mate.

Do you live with your Dad?

Side note: CoB should cover more songs, their covers kick ass

Try a month. In case you didn't notice, I barely stuck my head in here for the whole end of December and beginning of January, because of the pathetically slow dial-up modem that is my only internet at home. I was itching to get back.

Arucard 01-24-2005 12:25 PM

I got hurt my a girl this weekend, and it sucked.
Girls....
But i got my new Nikes!

Eh', 5 days was extremely hard for me...since every thing I do on my comp which takes up most of my day deal with the internet...

Cain 01-24-2005 12:32 PM

Agreed. Internet=life.

munky_magik 01-24-2005 12:33 PM
