Yeah. I reckon 2 to a bowl is optimum. They kinda go soggy if you don't eat thm quick enough. But some people like that. Infact, mushy weetbix in warm milk is pretty great.
I ALWAYS, without requite eat them with warm milk, usually 4 in a bowl so it's like a slurry. Everyone think's I'm very weird, especially on 30+ degree days. |
wat.
you trollin' me dude?
WRONG That's better. |
I don't get the Weetabix name either. It's such an awkward syllable to stick in there.
Like maybe in Italy I could understand it. |
Maybe if it was like, weetybix or something.
|
I'm surprised it's even legal to sell them in America seeing as there's no chocolate on it.
|
Weetbix sounds weirder to me. It's like the word stops flowing properly in the middle! Our weetabix are clearly different anyway. Ours aren't squared off, and they're probably about 4/5 inches long.
|
warm milk = disgusting
Then again, I don't care for milk anyway. I'm more of a soy milk fan, and it really only ever goes in my smoothies. |
Very much thinking of quitting my job to tour like all the time. I'm weighing up all the pros and cons and ways of getting by without the 9-5 (well, 9-3, but that's being picky). Still not sure what to do. I know what my heart says, but my head says the opposite :p

Do you really make enough playing music to live? Are you willing to be extra poor for quite a while until it takes off?
|
This is the issue. We would almost certainly be operating at a loss. Original music at this level is not somewhere to go to make money. Money we do make from gigs will get totally eaten by petrol costs. One plan was to sign up for an agency and work for like 2 months, save up as much as possible, then tour for two months. Rinse, repeat. I've got a lot to think about.
Then there's what the other guys want to do. I know at least one of them will be up for it, and our drummer would probably find a way (he runs our practice rooms building, and makes money off that without really having to do anything). We'll see - I think the risk needs taking though, if we really honestly want to say we gave it our best shot. |
the best way to gain fans is to be completely shameless in talk/flirting with them after a show. juts get people to follow you around/pay for your gas. touring musicians are bums.

It's a tough decision, no doubt about it. |
I really want to do it. I need a bit more spontaneity and whatnot in my life, and I think if you have nothing to do except tour, and if that is the only thing you actually leave yourself in a position to be able to do, then you'll be more likely to make it work, right? If we can get ourselves on a booking agency, and only play shows that are worth playing, then we could do alright for ourselves :)

guys. I no longer own a bass. this is the first time in 23 years.
do I have to leave? |
you even sold your upright?
|
all of it dude.
|
just sick of playing?
|
no opportunities to play, and I'm restoring a car that needed the money
|
mm, fair enough.
I dunno man, I definitely don't play as music as I used to, but if I didn't have at least one of my basses I'd go apeshit. It's almost like a security blanket thing, y'know? |
So, until I listened to Infectious Grooves I didn't know Robert Trujilo was actually a good bassist.

Whats up guys, it's been awhile since I've posted here
nah, i wish.

Would be ssssiiiikkkkk There's only so much you can do to lighten the cab before you risk structural integrity and sound reproduction efficiency. Best to throw some wheels on it (for tilt-back rolling) and just enjoy it. |
